The Lushi Team:Dark Tournament

Chapter 3

Mari's POV

After Suichi and Keisha's fight,we had to wait a while as the repair crew fixed the ring."Lushi Team VS Urameshi Team!!"Sheila said smiling."But we only have three...Oh since Kuwabara won't hit girls,it'll be a 3 vs 4."Callie said as Yusuke,Kurama and the boy my height stepped up.I motioned for Keisha and Callie to bend down."You do realize we could just summon Remy again right?"I asked shoving my hands  in my pockets."Of course."Keisha said smiling.*Freeze Frame*

Remy is a combination of our weapons,because three parts of his soul are traped in it.This happened over 3 years ago,when I was 16,Callie 15,and Keisha was 15 too.When Remy's soul was divided,it was divided into our weapons.Mostly because Remy was our protector and he carried around our weapons,which weren't ours at the time.So when he "died"  he trapped himself in the weapons and assigned them to us before he was trapped.

*Resume*

"Alright I'll pick the pairs!Hiei VS Mari,Masked Fighter VS Keisha and Callie Vs Yusuke!Begin!"Sheila exclaimed,and everyone else but me and the boy went haywire trying to eliminate each other."I'm surrounded by idiots..."We said in unison,then looked at each other."Did I ever learn your name?"I asked him.He sighed and held out his hand."Hiei Taganashi."We shaked hands and I summoned up my mallet again,Hiei letting go and moving out of the mallet's  way."I've been wondering, how do you wield a weapon as big as that?"He asked as he sped every which way to avoid my mallet."It's actually just as light as a feather,but heavy as a truck."I said tossing it up and down as I looked over at Callie and Keisha,who were panting while the boys were lying on their faces,Yusuke with a red marks and Suichi missing his whip and cuts all over,and the masked fighter was back up but panting.

"Looks like we're running behind a little."Hiei said,practically reading my mind.
"We are.How should we fix that?"I asked swinging my mallet at him.He barely moved out of the way in time and I noticed a cloth hanging off of the handle.I grabbed it and slowly looked back at Hiei,who was shocked and was opening his third eye.The Jagan eye."I was right!"I said smiling."Right about what?That I had a third eye?"Hiei asked frowning at me."Not just any eye,a Jagan eye."I said tying his bandana around the handle of my mallet."I wanna fight you,no holding back."I said smiling,Callie,Suichi,Yusuke and everyone else immediately leaving the ring."You're serious?"Hiei asked staring at me,slightly smirking.

Hiei's POV

"I'm serious."Mari said  putting her mallet down and balancing on it again."As you wish."I said looking up at her."So what does the Jagan eye do?"Mari asked as she swung the mallet in my direction.I dodged,and lit my fists in black fire.(A/N:This has nothing to with Kashi's powers in dimension hopper.Hiei literally has the power to summon black fire from the depths of the demon world,which is also part of Yu Yu Hakusho.)"Ooh cool!Eep!"Mari's mallet disappeared,and looked back at me in horror."Did you just...Disintegrate my mallet?!"She asked,teleporting behind me."Of course I did.You asked what the Jagan eye could do."I said looking back at her before disappearing out of view.Her eyes turned red,and she began charging at me,not even stopping to summon another mallet.I tried to block,but I must've missed one,because she punched me.Really hard.I bounced back to the edge of the ring."Seems like you're not holding back either.."I said getting up.

Mari's POV

"No.I'm not."I summoned up a sword and pointed it at him,and just to be clear,I can summon millions of different types of weapons.I choose to use a mallet."Ah you have a sword as well?I thought you only had the power to summon that mallet of yours."Hiei said unsheathing his own sword,stabbing it on the ground as he threw his cloak to the side."I actually have the power to summon different types."I said disappearing from view.I was falling towards him,while Sheila was announcing,wondering were I went.Hiei luckily saw me in time and moved,me landing on my back."Impressive.Fists Of The Mortal Flame!"Hiei exclaimed,his hair perking up more and the Jagan eye glowing purple."Spirit Shield!"I laced my arms in my energy again,and stood,watching as the stadium turned eerily dark.(Insert Ominous Music Here)Hiei sped towards me and pointed his sword right at my head.And me,being the curious girl that I am,moved out of his way and behind him,also cutting off the back portion of my hair.So now the front was long,but the back was like a boy's hair.Straight and short."Huh...I didn't see that coming.I would've assumed that your sword would merely cut off a few strands..."I said rubbing the back of my neck."Don't underestimate my skills woman."Hiei growled,then charged at me again.

I summoned up the sword again and it clashed with Hiei's,and now we were having one of those sword fights that you only see in knight movies."I must admit,you look better without all that hair blowing around when you leap."Hiei said panting as he pressed his hand to a cut on his arm,then burst into black flames."Thanks.I would say the same but I'm not in the mood for compliments."I said using my mallet to block the huge black fire dragon that was coming my way.

Kurama's POV

'Did...Did Hiei kill her?She has to be gone.No one has ever survived the Dragon Of Darkness Flame before.'I stared in horror at the black fire that was flying every which way out of the ring and wondered,why hasn't the girls retreated back to their side yet?"Mari you better be alive!!"Callie screamed,while Keisha clung to me and whimpered.

Soon,the smoke cleared,and you could clearly see Hiei looking down at his arm in disbelief, as it was charred mildly.As for where Mari was standing,all that remained was her cloak."Ooh...D-Dragon Of Darkness flame..."Mari's voice seemed to echo off of the walls of the stadium,and with Hiei's arm paralyzed by pain,what would he do now?"Explain to me how you're still alive!"Hiei yelled,his voice quavering a little."I don't know the answer to that myself..."Mari teleported to where her cloak was,and now you could clearly see the white shirt she had on."She's alive!"Callie and Keisha exclaimed,and tackled the person closest to them,which consisted of myself and Kuwabara."And with only one arm,how do you suppose you'll defend against me?"Mari asked with a curious tone.Hiei was silent when she asked that,slightly bending his arm,then stopping due to the pain."Perhaps I could use one arm."Came Hiei's reply.Mari teleported to him,slightly glowing.She grabbed Hiei's paralyzed arm and judging by the look on his face,she had squeezed and sent millions of pain shards through his nervous system.Mari let go eventually, and Hiei fell to her feet,unconscious."And the winner of this round is Mari of the Urameshi team!!"The referee exclaimed into the mic,and Mari was glaring up at her within a second."What do you mean 'Of the Urameshi team'?!"She asked,the referee bending down."Your team was on the other side for more than five minutes, which by the rules,binds you together as a single team."She explained into the mic,then Mari calmed down,dragged Hiei back to our side and quietly wrapped his arm in bandages.

"Guess we're a team now."Mari said looking up at us.
