AALIYAH

"Khalil where is your father?" I mumbled as Khalil played with his teething toy in the stroller and smiled at me. Today was Saturday and me and Kendrick agreed to spending time with our child every Saturday. I sat on the wooden park bench waiting for Kendrick to pull up. Sitting out here for an hour and it's cold is like a living hell. I called and text him but he said he was on his way thirty minutes ago.
This thing about Kendrick is that he still goes around town with other females instead of going around with his number one priority, his son. He always questions our relationship but, he should know by now I want absolutely nothing to do with him.
If he thinks it's okay to ditch your son to get your manly parts sucked or wet, you're a real definition of a dead beat. Then when he says I'm coming, which technically means, I'm not coming so keep him for another week.
I called Kendrick one more time but it went straight to voice mail. I got up off the bench and shifted my sweater and my cap. I looked down at Khalil rethinking my plans.
Maybe I should keep him for another week, I am going to be bored with nothing to do. I shrugged and took Khalil back to my car and texted Kendrick. I can't believe him. Complains when I'm late because I was at work but, he's late because he is always too busy focusing on bitches.
I made sure that Khalil car seat was steady before sliding out of the back seat. When I turned around I saw a kid fall off the swing and into the wood chips. I ran over but not before turning on the car with the heater and locked doors.
I checked the little girl and saw her mother rush over.
"Hi pretty are you you okay?" I asked with a look of concern she had wood chips in her hair and on her scarf. I dusted her off then her mom pick her up before I could finish getting the chips off her.
"Who are you?" She asked rudely.
"Excuse you, I was helping your daughter something you're currently not doing." I said and took the rest of the wood chips off the little girl before her mom hit my hands away and walked away. I rolled my eyes to go tend to my son when I saw Kendrick leaned against my car.
I couldn't lie and say he didn't look fine in his winter weather clothing. It really fit him. He looked up from the snow and furrowed his eyebrows.
"You leave my son in the car to go help a stranger?" He asked and motioned his hand towards the back seat.
"You leave your son to go fuck the next bitch?" I hissed back and he looked off into the distance ignoring my stare. "Don't try to come for me like I'm in the wrong when it's clearly you. How is your other son anyways?" I asked being petty. Knowing he doesn't even claim the poor little boy anymore because of something his mother did.
