Pt. 2 of last chapter
"I guess we could try it again" Calum shrugged
They had just left their interview and were now sitting across from each other on the floor of Calum's apartment, Bob's Burgers playing quietly on the tv behind them
They had been talking about what just went down during the interview
"...We could try us again?"
Michael giggled "sounds good" they leaned in, their lips intertwining for a good minute
"-ergmh-" Calum broke the kiss off, turning away for a second "I- I can't" he said shyly "I don't know how to feel" he mulled it over "I don't really wan- want to have a relationship... but at the same time I want you... I'm- well..."
Michael nodded in agreement
"But, but I can't say the words 'fuck buddies' you know?? It's too crass- I love you too much to say it- and it's not the way I feel. I'm just not-" he sighed, looking at his finger nails "I'm just not ready"
Michael reached out to grab Calum's arm, giving him another kiss "it takes time, but we'll do it right this time- now we have experience, we'll figure it out"
Calum smiled "we take it as it comes"
"We'll take it as it comes" he nodded
