Cat

We've been at this fair for an hour and I think we've just about gone on every ride except for the Ferris wheel but we can't go on that because the kids are to small to ride it, I was carrying Lijah as we went to a cotton candy stand for the third time.

"After this August the kids aren't eating anymore cotton candy and we're taking them to the park to run around" I said lowly to him, he nodded and pecked my lips.

"Mommy after this what are we gonna do?"

"We have just one thing left here which is the fire works display but this is your last bag of cotton candy so make it work your not gonna be running around my house tonight saying your not tired" I said matter a factly to them.

"Okay mom" they sighed I watched as they walked a little bit ahead of us, my eyes never once left them till I felt August slip his hand in mine and squeeze it.

"Everything okay Cat?" He asked as we followed the kids around.

"Yeah...I wanna have a little get together so everyone can come I feel like I haven't seen my girls in forever especially Samari and her kids" I said sighing, with everything going on in the Alsina household much less our life, I haven't seen or spoken to much of my friends and that kind of messed up my head a bit.

"Alright we can do that, just let me know when and we can start planning that okay?" He said pulling me into his side, I nodded and leaned kissing his cheek and the top of Lijah's head.

"AJ stop running so far ahead!" August yelled out, I looked foreword and sighed, that little boy gave me a head ache sometimes but what can I say he's my son and I love him to death, as well as his three other siblings, I knew that bringing Nayla into the family -- more per say stepping in to be a mother figure in her life was going to prove to be difficult and I didn't know how I was gonna handle doing it but I would try my best.

When we got closer to them, August scooped up Zoey in his arms and I held Nayla's hand and told AJ to hold his sisters hand, a lot of people around here were looking at us in amazement like hi we're regular people too I understand that our life was public at times but sometimes I didn't like it, to have kids growing up in this was too much and the thought of one more Alsina coming into the mix of this was gonna be to much.

Every moment spent with family is one you never want to forget but sometimes certain events turn that moment sour, on our way to one of the many benches set up in the field area with the kids we came across a not so fond memory of the past and I honestly didn't even think twice about walking away, I nicely swooped my kids in another direction and went about my business.

"Babe was that who I think it was?"

"Yup that was Angel" I said keeping my head straight.

"Baby you good right?"

"Yeah I'm cool I'm here with you and the kids to enjoy myself there's no reason for some irrelevant child to make me step out of character in front of my kids I never have and I won't start now" I said shrugging.

"Mommy I need to pee" Zoey said looking over at me.

"Alright baby girl we gotta be quick though okay?" I said coming to a stop she nodded and August put her down then took Elijah from me and held AJ's hand.

"I'll go find us a good spot to sit alright babe?"

"Alright baby, cmon ZoZo" I said picking her up, I quickly found one of the port-a-potty's and cleaned the seat with a disinfectant wipe I had in my pocket, as a woman and a mother I always have these on hand for when I use public restrooms, I stepped out and let her pee and while I was waiting none other than Angel came up to me.
