Chapter-6

Ivy

“Hey what’s for dinner?” I heard Aal’s voice near the kitchen door as I was removing the grocery from the paper bag.

“Nothing much, just chicken rolls and milk shakes and chicken salad with lettuce and your favorite dressing.”

“Haven’t cook much, why?”

“Because I dint feel like, instead of helping me you are taunting me.”

“Sorry.”

“No, Aal its okay I’m sorry I left you there in the parking lot. All by yourself. I’m a very bad sister.” And I don’t know why a tear escaped my eye. Aal crossed over the counter and hugged me from back. Since I was cooking, and then I felt something go in my pants. But I ignored it.

“It’s okay. Tell me what happened” Aal asked. That is what I like about her. Sometime she is the ideal sister. Always there when I was feeling low. She has these instincts; she talks about all the time. But yes, of course still being my sister and sharing the same blood made her show off, saying that she had sixth sense or something. But, after all the showing off part, she knows when I need her and when I got irritated by her.

But then I saw her, she had my phone in her hand. And she was what? Dialing a number, I thought. But honestly I dint feel like stopping her. If she was dialing Jo’s number, from my phone which apparently she flicked from my back pocket while hugging me, then he would hear the conversation. Much better, that basterd should know how he hurts me.

This is the time Ivy let it all out before she changes her mood and cut the phone. But I have my integrity.

“Nothing much” I lied

“No there is something. You telling me or I won’t tell you what Tylor told me.” And then she kept the phone on the counter. It must be Jo. Love you little sister. But the word Tylor made me come out of my thoughts.

“Tylor called?” ok now she is making me loos my battle. She can’t cheat.

“Yes, but first tell me what happened?”

“Umm…..”

Should I lie? Should I tell her? Lie, no, wait tell her. Oh! Common lie.

“It’s about Jo isn’t it?” Aal said with a concerned faced

Okay fine tell her the shit.

“Yah, during my last lecture I saw him talking to one of the cheerleader. I thought it must be about practice or something. But then I saw her getting all over him. I could not see her face. But I just saw a yellow band in her hand. Jo was facing me of course. He bend down at her face. He was about to kiss her, I assumed. Until she told something in his ears. Then Jo nodded and they both were walking towards the hallway. Just then the bell rang and I had to control that I don’t cry. My cheeks were already red with anger. So I ran out of the class holding back my tears and went to my looker. Got the keys and ran to the parking lot. Just then I saw her giggling around him again.”

“Aal I was standing in front of him and he neglected me.” I chocked.

“Just then you came. I had to get away. That’s why I left you there. I’m sorry I dint mean to hurt…”

“Oh! Common Ivy.” She cut me off.

“Everyone knows Jo is a player, I don’t know why you don’t see it. And it’s not the first time this has happened. Every time you do break-up you end up being in the room alone at night. Just that you need sexual pleasure won’t get you anywhere Ivy.” Aal finished as she brushed my cheeks. That reminded me of Tylor.
