8998 Days (Sequel)

A George Shelley fanfic - Introduction (part 25)

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Stepping outside in the warm air of Western Australia made me think that it might be alright living here...

1) The weather is warmer,

2) I could forget about my problems at home

3) I could forget about George probably hating me for leaving

4) This could be a new adventure

5) I could make new friends

6) Maybe ill see a Koala bear (Don't know if you get them here but oh well)

I looked at my list of pros of living here, the I looked at my list of cons of living here

1) I don't get too see my best friends

2) No one might like me

3) I can't continue my dream of being an actress

4) I have to work in a old coffee shop

5) I can't see George

At the moment, living here is better with another pro...

I walked down the long road which led into the main centre of Perth, I guess another benefit of living here is the beach and ocean, I thought as I looked at the clear blue ocean and white sand. I made my way towards the beach, which took about a 20 minute walk but it was worth it.

I sat down on the warm sand. Usually Perth is 8 hours in front, but during the summer it is 7 hours... I don't know why, just ask Jesus.

It was a Sunday morning, and I didn't sleep at all last night. In England it would be 12:00 at night, but here it's 7:00 in the morning and the sun was just starting to rise above the ocean horizon. It was a beautiful sight to be fair, so I took a picture with my phone. I had to get an Australian SIM card, so I had to talk to everyone via Skype otherwise it would cost far too much.

I didn't tell my mum where I was, she was probably sleeping still, bound to wake up soon, because she can never sleep in and always wake up early. Even in other country's, so I texted her saying I was at the beach.

I thought about home and what they were all doing, probably sleeping, but I wondered if they were thinking about me, wether they had forgotten me already or missed me. It was a strange though because usually people's minds think differently than how they act around you, they may seem they like you, but don't according to their brain... Lost within my day dream I go woken by a girl sitting next to me, she had dark brown hair, with ombré blonde halfway down, she had blue eyes and perfect skin, (picture shown on the side)

"So I hear your the new girl working at the coffee shop tomorrow? I'm Zoe, you'll be working with me and Joe! My young brother, you see I'm 21 and Joe is 19, yourself?" The Australian girl spoke, she seemed so nice and I was glad to meet someone already, my mum straight away got me a job at this coffee shop, at first I hated the idea but now I think I'm easing off a little after meeting Zoe.

"Hi I'm Katie and I'm 19 too" I said, sounding way to British compared to her Auzzie

"I remember looking at your CV and I recognised sitting here on the beach, what you doing here so early?"

"Just thinking..." I replied softly,

"Aw, then ill leave you too it, see you at work tomorrow, Joe isvexcited to meet you too aha" and with that she left, maybe Australia wouldn't be so bad...

I looked down at my neck and my infinity necklace that George gave me... I loved him, but I wasn't so sure considering he wasn't supporting my decision...

I got up and decided to look around Perth, they had many shops similar but a few different, I thought about Zoe and Joe, hopefully we could be good friends.

If you have guessed, I have based Zoe and Joe on the YouTubers, Zoe Sugg and Joe Sugg (Zoella and ThatcherJoe)

P.s 21 and 18 aren't their actual ages, but for the sake of the story it is!
