Mark raced into the guest room and quickly locked the door behind him.

"What te fook, Merk? I was slee- is evrytin' okay?" Seeing the look of pure panic in Mark's eyes. "Where's Sam?" Something rammed the door, and Mark pushed back. "What is that?"

"Nnngg, Jack, run!" Mark grunted. "Mar-" "RUN!"

Just then the door burst open and Mark fell back. In the doorway stood a real-life version of Jack's logo, a Septic Eye. But this one was black, with a red pupil.

"Septiceye Sam?" Jack breathed, naming the eye. The eye sent out an arm of goo, wrapping around Mark's leg. "LEMME GO!" Mark screamed as the eye pulled him closer.

"Mark!" Jack yelled, jumping up to help. The eye barely acknowledged him as it sent a wave of septic at him, pinning him to the wall. Jack struggled, but he couldn't move. He could only watch helplessly as the Evil Eye reached out for Mark.

Jack felt a tingling in his chest. He looked down to see his Septiceye Sam pendant glowing. There was a burst of light, and when it was gone, Jack saw Septiceye Sam - his Septiceye Sam - tackling the Evil Eye.

Mark started tugging the ooze off of him, but his hands got stuck. He couldn't even wiggle his fingers. Hysterical, he started sobbing, his whole body quivering.

Jack pulled as hard as he could and managed to get an arm out of the goop. He started taking off his shirt, taking the septic with it. He looked up at Mark.

The ooze had traveled up his arms, and had reached his chest. Thin strands started climbing the back of his neck.

In a burst of strength, Jack freed himself and tried to pull Mark out. The ooze fell a few feet, then latched on with needle-like barbs. Septiceye Sam had killed the Evil Eye and was attempting to tug at the ooze but it wasn't strong enough. Mark gazed at Jack, a sad look in his chocolate eyes. "Sean." Sean looked at Mark, tears streaming down his face. "Thank you...for everything..." He closed his eyes as the ooze reached his throat.

"NO! YOU CAN'T DO THIS! PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ME! NO NO NO NO NO!" Mark convulsed on the floor. "SOMEBODY! ANYBODY! PLEASE!"
