Ch. 22

[Avery]

It was finally the new year, it was 2017. My parents had already left but Annabelle was still here. Sadly, she couldn't celebrate with everyone but we stayed home to celebrate so she could. But Zelo was in charge of her. Yongguk and I were laying down in my bed just chatting away. Our friendship is turning into something more, I can feel it and I know he can too. It's going to suck if I do end up leaving next year, I wonder if Yongguk knows. I suddenly heard slight snoring and smile, Yongguk is working hard everyday then he takes the subway just to come see me every night. I slowly got up and walked into the living room where Zelo, Annabelle, Youngjae, Daehyun and Jongup were playing cards. 

"Can I play?" I asked.

"Sure, where's Yongguk?" Zelo asked.

"Asleep." I said laughing.

"That boy does a lot for you." Annabelle said.

"She means he likes you alot and wants to take things further but doesn't know how to approach you without you rejecting him." Youngjae said.

"I knew he liked me but I thought he was waiting." I said sitting down.

"He is, he wants to make it perfect." Daehyun said.

"Oh okay, well let's play." I said as Zelo passed the card to everyone.

[Yongguk]

I felt cold, I opened my eyes and realized Avery wasn't next to me anymore. I sat up hearing people laughing and saying "UNO". I decided to walk to the door and saw Avery playing UNO with Annabelle, Zelo, Daehyun, Jongup and Youngjae. I decided to sit behind Avery with her between my legs. As I sat down, Avery kind of jumped but I held her to tell her it was just me.

"Did we wake you?" she asked.

"No, I was cold." I said hugging her from behind.

"What time is it anyways?" Annabelle asked.

"It is," Daehyun paused to look at his phone, "Three in the morning."

"Wow, we didn't even realize it was three in the morning." Annabelle said.

"Eh, don't worry, I didn't either but we should get to sleep!" Avery said smiling.

"Alright, we'll finish up tomorrow." Jongup said.

"I will grab the blankets and pillows." Avery said standing up.

Her parents bought pillows and thick mattress blankets so people can sleep comfortably. Annabelle went and helped her. Soon, Avery would be going back to school and Annabelle would be leaving because she's only in 11th grade. 

The girls helped place the mattress on the floor for Zelo and Annabelle. Daehyun grabbed a pillow and blanket then went to the recliner. Jongup did the same and went to the loveseat while Youngjae did the same went to the couch instead. Everyone was situated in the living room, now it was mine and Avery's time to get some shut eye. 

Avery walked into her room and closed the door, meaning she was changing but I didn't care I walked in and just stood there watching her. Her body was like a sculpted masterpiece. She had curves but she was petite or I should say she has that S-Line. But, what stands out the most is her outgoing and fun personality. She makes people laugh and she cares for them deep within her heart.

I walked up behind Avery before she put her shirt on and placed my hands around waist and hugged her taking in her Sweet Pea body wash scent. I rubbed my thumb up and down on her skin. I want to have her but I want to make sure it's the right time. It would honestly break my heart if she rejected me... not saying I'd cry like a baby but honestly, I can tell she likes me and I can tell she knows that I like her. 

I decided to let her go so she could finish changing, I used the bathroom and climbed into bed as well as Avery. She cuddled up next to me and we soon were both asleep.
