"Hello guys, how was your holiday?" I asked my co-workers as I entered the kitchen.

"It's been great," one of my workers, Monica answered.

In the morning, there usually wasn't many customers around, so my co-workers and I spent it by talking while we baked the goods to put out at the front counter. After an hour of baking the front desk was filled with baked good from cupcakes to macrons and we continued with our orders that was going to be delivered.

I heard the door bell ring and I went out to the cash register. "Hello, is there anyth-" I stopped as I saw who was standing there.

"Harry," I said. "And Cora," I added quickly as I saw the little girl holding Harry's arm.

"Hey Taylor. We wanted to stop by and see what you were up to-" Harry started off before looking down at his little sister, who was tugging at his sleeve to go to look at the front counter. "And Cora wanted to see your cakes."

"That's so nice if you," I said, looking at Harry, then Cora. "Do you want one?" I asked, pointing on the pink cupcake with flowers on it.

She nodded with a big smile. "Yes, please."

I grabbed a plate and the cupcake and handed it to her. "Here you go."

"Thank you, Taylor."

"How much is it?" Harry asked with his wallet ready.

"It's on me," I offered. "Come and sit down," I said before he could protest and sat down at an available table.

"How have you been?" He asked after he and Cora got settled down.

"Great," I started off. "Pretty stressed, but great. What about you?"

"Fine, we went to Utah for Thanksgiving week to visit Carly's family. And I have been to Florida to visit Disneyland. My parents bailed on me at the hotel so I was the one that had to drag along with Cora to see Mickey Mouse and his crew," he said smiling at his little sister. Cora was happily eating the pink icing off first and then the cupcake. "By the way, Carly is pregnant again," he said casually.

My eyes shot away from the little menu on the table to Harry. "Seriously, congrats!" I said happily.

"I want a little brother," Cora said with pink frosting all around her mouth.

I looked over at Harry again. "I guess it would be fun with a little brother..." He said, lightly shrugging his shoulders.

"Thank you for my present, I really appreciate it," I said, wanting to grab his hand, but didn't.

His smile widened, so his dimple was noticeable. "I'm glad you liked it. How was your birthday, I wanted to come by, but I was in Florida."

This time, it was my smile who widened. It was nice to know that Harry thought of me when we weren't together. "It was nice. I actually forgot my birthday," I awkwardly laughed. "But my friends made me a surprise dinner and that was nice."

There was a faint silence before Cora broke it by telling us that she had finished her cupcake.Harry looked at Cora, then me. "We should probably get going," he said, helping Cora off the chair.

"Wait," I said before disappearing behind the counter to get a cupcake box. "Here," I handed Cora a box with four different cupcakes in it.

Cora smile widened. "Thank you Taylor!" She said excited.

Harry pulled out his wallet once again, before he could do anything I stopped him. "It's on me," I smiled.

"Thanks," he said, grabbing Cora's little hand and was heading out the door.
