It was Thanksgiving week and Abigail and I were getting ready to go back to Wyoming in Pennsylvania to spend the holiday with our families. Abigail was my childhood neighbor, but also my best friend for a life time. We had been through everything together and she had been the most supporting one throughout my relationship with Harry, even though I could sense that Harry wasn't Abigail's favorite. Despite living in a big city, an hour from each other, Abigail was the first one at my door to comfort me after the breakup. It was close to 1 AM, but she came anyway. She told me that she couldn't bear the thought of me being alone after losing my other half.

I parked outside Abigail's apartment complex, waiting for her. I let out a sigh, thinking about how great it was with a break from work. During the days closer to holidays, more dessert had been requested to have during the holidays and it had been very busy. Somehow, I liked it, because I took my mind off Harry. But every time the door bell in the store rang, there was always a little part in me hoping it was Harry.

"Taylor, it is so nice to see you again!" Abigail said cheerily with her big, red, curly hair flowing everywhere. "How long has it been? About 2 months now?"

"Yes, that is way too long for a girl to be away from her best friend," I hugged her, before starting the car and driving out on the road.

"How's it going? Is your business going great?"

"Yeah, it has been been very busy now, during the holidays, but even more busier when we have started to deliver," I said, relaxing my shoulder. The past few days have been nothing, but relaxing, so the thought of spending a week back home with Abigail made everything better. "Enough about me, what about you?"

"Where do I even start?" She smiled so big. "My swimming coach said that it is a big chance for me to get on the national team next year!"

My mouth widened in shock. Abigail had been swimming ever since she was a baby and her dream was to represent the country in the Olympics one day and she was getting closer. "Oh my god, Abigail, if I wasn't driving I would totally jump onto you and give you the biggest hug right now!" I was so happy on her behalf right now. "So what about Kyle?" I asked. Kyle was her boyfriend since middle school. They had been inseparable ever since.

"He is doing fine. He is going to Boston for a few days with his family."

"And?" I knew Abigail and Kyle had been together for a while now, in January it was going to be their 10 years anniversary and everyone was waiting for Kyle to pop the question.

"No, Taylor, not yet," she answered, because she knew what I was thinking about. "I am not in a rush right now."

"That is your words, I just want a text when it happens," I laughed as she joined me.

"So what about your love life?" She nudged at me, cheekily winking at me. She knew that nothing had happened as I always informed her when something was happening.

The thought of Harry popped into my mind. "Well..." I started off.

Her eyes widened. "Taylor Alison Swift, tell me everything!" She demanded.

"Okay, don't freak out!" I said first. "Harry is back in New York."

Her mouth fell open. "What the... Seriously, Harry? Tall, handsome, curly haired, green eyes Harry?"

I had to laugh at her description of Harry, but quickly nodded.

We talked non stop for the entire ride home about Harry, Kyle and the little things that happens in life and planned the things we were going to do during the week back home.

I parked the car on the driveway to my childhood home. The memories flooded in as it had been a while since I had visited my parents. Abigail and I exchanged goodbyes and she went to the house right next to mine. I used my key to unlock the door. The house was quiet expect from a little distant sound from the living room.

"Hello?" I shouted loud enough, still no answer. I walked into the living room to see where the sound came from. As I walked in I saw the sound came from the TV and my little brother Austin was sleeping on the couch with a bowl of chips around his arms.

Laughing at how much of a dork he looked like, I walked up to my bedroom. It seemed like it had been untouched ever since I had graduated from high school. The only thing I noticed was the couple of boxes in the corner that was from things college that I didn't want to bring to my new apartment.

To kill some time, I opened the boxes to see what was in them. It was mostly papers that had been graded and little things that I didn't want to throw out. Right about when I was about to pack it all again, I noticed a picture frame on the bottom of the box.

My smile grew as I saw the picture in the frame. It was a picture of Harry and I from a Christmas party at during the second year at college. I was wearing a red dress, a red lipstick with curly hair. Harry was in a pair of black skinny jeans with a button up shirt. When I first put the picture up at the nightstand in my dorm room, Harry wasn't too pleased with the picture because he wasn't paying attention in the picture, but I liked it anyway, because it was the first big event Harry and I showed up as a couple. I put the picture in my bag to take back home and packed away the rest of the boxes.

"Now before I get the dessert, I think that we have to say something that we are thankful," I said, looking around at the table. My family and Abigail's family was gathered around the table.

"I wanna start!" Austin said, raising his hand in the air. "I am thankful for Dianna Stone switching to US history so I have more classes I can stare at her at."

The whole table started laughing as my mother rolled her eyes with a smile.

After everyone said things they were thankful for, I brought out a pumpkin pie that I had baked earlier. Ever since they discovered my love for baking, I was in charge for the desserts every holiday, I didn't mind it and they seemed to love it.

The days between Thanksgiving and Christmas went quickly by than ever. After Thanksgiving, Abigail and I went Black Friday shopping, which was crazier than expected. It had been so hectic with the bakery shop that I had forgotten my own birthday, but Abigail and Karlie had organized a dinner party with all of my co-workers, which I had appreciated a lot. The days were flowing by and before I even knew it, I was back home in Wyoming again with my family for Christmas. This time the whole family was gathered at our place. I got to meet my cousins I hadn't seen in a year and their children. I had always been a huge family girl and loved to spend time with my family.

After a few days home for Christmas, I had to drive back home to New York. During these times, I wondered what Harry was up to. I knew he was home and that he promised to visit when he had time, so I was a little disappointed that he hadn't stopped by the shop once.

I parked my car in the garage to my apartment complex. Before taking the elevator up to my apartment, I decided to check my mail box, even though I was away for a couple days. It was a couple of letters from different companies. It wasn't before I picked up the letters that I noticed a little present in the back of my mail box. I picked up the little present and tried to see if it was anything written on it. I emptied the mail box and went up to my apartment. Dropping all of my bags, I sat down on a chair by the kitchen counter and opened the letters before opening the present.

Studying the little present, I tried to think of who it could be from. I carefully teared open the plain brown wrapping paper, to see that it was a box that held necklaces. On the box, it was a tiny card attached to it.

I wanted to give you this as a birthday present and Christmas present, because I remembered how much you loved this necklace. Nice to see you again. Happy late 24th birthday and merry Christmas, Taylor. I hope you have a great one. Love Harry x.

I put down the card, knowing which necklace he meant. My smile widened as I opened the box, to see a necklace with a paper plane pendant attached to it. I stared at it for a while, because I couldn't believe that he gave it to me. During college he always wore the paper plane necklace and I commented how I liked it, but I never expected him to give it to me.

Before going to bed, I texted Harry a thank you for the gift and laid down on my bed with a smile.

A/N: this is just a filler chapter, hence why it was so boring and it was such a struggle to write, but things are going to happen soon! thanks for reading ily!!!
