Nicks Pov:
Driving down this dirt path to where I spent too many of my summers made me sweat. The thought made me happy, because I missed being young. But orca was in there, and I couldn't get the happy thoughts back. I parked the car halfway in the woods so he didn't see or hear me if he decided to look out the bay window. It was almost midnight. And I was terrified of what was in these woods. No doubt I could handle some wolf or bear, but the memories that lurked were scarier. I crept around the outskirts of the forest, keeping it to where I could still see the cabin. It looked like such a happy warm place. I was in the backyard of the cabin now, seeing the shiny grill in the moonlight. The old picnic table. I remember having a talent show on the back porch. His old sister gave the winner a Popsicle and $5. I smiled. But let my mind drift back into reality. I headed towards the cabin crouched down. I passed the porch and walked the perimeter of it. Keeping my body on the cabin. I was on the right side of the cabin. The dark curtains were closed, but I could just see through them. They were linen. So the material wasn't very thick. There was a mess on the floor, and I couldn't see anybody. I could just hear the mumble of talking. I looked away for a half second and seen a big knife on the counter. Oh no. My heart dropped. But I could hear them talking. I was pretty sure it was her. My instincts told me it was her. I focused my eyes on the mess. Small colorful squares all on the floor? Monopoly money? Why were they playing monopoly? Then, hunter came into view grabbing the knife with his hand and spectating it. I could feel my anger rising. He better drop it and leave. But, he turned around pointing it towards the other side of the room I couldn't see. I imagined orca scared for her life. He jerked towards something and came back with her in his hands. Seeing her. Seeing him. Seeing them together. Seeing him with that knife, knowing he was only taking advantage of her and he didn't have the guts to do anything. He sat in view for a minute talking to her. Right in her face. She was just nodding and agreeing. She didn't look scared. That's my baby. Don't be scared. Kill his ass and let me save you. I just wanted it to be the right time. He grabbed her shirt and nearly took it off. He was so, so Lucky he didn't. He threw her in a closet towards the back of the cabin. I remembered hiding there when we played games. He shut the door and turned around going into the bedroom. I dont know what came over me, but I grabbed the window and, to my surprise, it was unlocked. I pushed the screen in and climbed in. The cabin was so warm. I covered my tracks and found somewhere to hide for the time being.
(So, he is hiding when hunter comes in and sits on the couch)
