"Nervous?"

Olivia and Jack met me at my locker the next morning. I somehow managed to give them a weak smile without throwing up. I hadn't slept well last night; I laid there, frozen in place for hours thinking about a moment that was just a few minutes away. All I could think about was coach Hedge's list. "No," I lied, the butterflies in my stomach proved it.

"Jack told me you had a great tryout." Olivia said.

"Yeah, it was fine. I just hope Coach Hedge was as impressed with me as everyone else seems to be.

"Good luck today Maggie!" I looked up to Harry's brother walking down the hallway, smiling and flashing me a thumbs up.

"I'm surprised Mike wants to see you do well, given everything that has happened with Harry." Olivia spat.

"Speak of the devil," Jack cut in. "I saw you talking to him before tryouts yesterday. I meant to ask you what that was about." Olivia's eyes grew wide.

"You talked to Harry and didn't tell me?" She practically yelled. People stopped and stared while me I on the other just shrugged. To be honest, I had almost forgotten about my little "chat" with Harry.

"It was no big deal. He told me it wasn't right for me to tryout because football was a man's sport."

Jack snorted. "That boy is so full of himself. I, for one, am glad I am nothing like him."

I exchanged a glance with Olivia, then burst out laughing at Jack's expression.

"Trust me, you have nothing to worry about," she said. "You don't have one single thing in common with Harry Styles."

Jack narrowed his eyes; the playful teasing charm in them suddenly disappearing. "Isn't it about time for you to head over to the athletic building?" he said, directing all of the attention on me.

"Unfortunately," I said, the butterflies fluttering faster and faster. "I don't know if I have ever been this nervous."

"Good luck." Olivia said picking up her bag and walking in the other direction.

"You're not coming?"

"No," she said. "No, I don't think so. You'll tell me what happens in English later." With a dismissive wave of her hand, Olivia turned and disappeared around the corner.

"Well, what the heck was that?" Jack said. "Just where does that girl get off, encouraging you to play, and then telling you she had no interest in finding out what happens? And the way she said I have nothing in common with Harry Styles. Like that's a bad thing! Like I should really strive to be just like him!"

"It's not important. We both know its a good thing you're not like Harry. Now let's go see the where I am with all of this crap." I said and we started walking towards the PE department.
