I woke up to a scream. "What the h-" then I realized it was Alex. I jumped up and ran to the side of the bed. "Alex. Alex! ALEX!" she finally opened her eyes. "Alex what's wrong"
"I'm s-sorry, I had a nightmare"
"What happened though?"
"Nothing don't worry about it"
I went back to my chair and looked at my phone. "it's 3 am" I whispered "guess I'm not going back to sleep"
After a while Alex spoke "Brian are you awake?"
"Yea. why what's wrong?"
"Can you come here?"
I walked over and sat on the edge of the bed.
"Are you okay?"
"Yes...well not really...im sort of scared to go back to sleep."
"Oh....well is there anything I can do?"
"I don't know."
"Okay, well I'll do this, I'll sit right here and wait till you fall asleep"
She nodded and laid down. I held her and as she started to close her eyes. "You know you can just lay down right?" she said with a smirk on her face. And I did just that, I laid down.
She eventually fell asleep and so did I, there weren't any more screams, conversations, or anything.
