It got cold in the winter time around here. Especially in this room I was in. I was alone, it was dark and this lousy ass blanket that they gave us wasn't keeping me warm. Plus it was uncomfortable on this bunk.

I wasn't understanding the point of me even being in here. I wasn't getting better. The only thing that I was doing is teaching myself how to survive and how to break out. Which would be easy for me. I'm a fucking genius.

I already planned my escape. All I had to do was make it happen. All I could think about is the trees I would see and touch, the snow.. if it was snowing, the cars I would see, the sky. Hell, daylight. I'm going crazy in here.

It soon got weird. I felt as if someone was in the room with me. Even though I didn't hear them, I couldn't see them ... but I felt someone's presence.

"Hello," I said softly but loud enough for the person in the room to hear. If there was someone in here.

And there was..

I woke up to Eva's small cries. She wasn't a loud baby but they were loud enough to wake me. I got up out the bed, surprised to see Kendra still asleep and checked on her. Once I walked over to the crib Eva looked at me with her eyes wide open.

"Hey little baby," I said to her. "You must be hungry. I need to wake up mommy then, huh?" I said then walked back over to the bed.

I went to wake up Kendra. I shook her but she just wouldn't wake up. "Kendra, Kendra, baby.."

She groaned. "Stop.. stop it."

"Eva's hungry baby." I told her while trying to wake her up still.

"Ouch! You're hurting me!" She kinda yelled.

"I barely touched you." I said to her in confusion.

That's when I realized she was having a nightmare again.. nightmare number two post baby.

"Ouch.... Pain.... you're hurting me!" She said as her body moved up and down on the bed. It was like she was having an exorcism. Terrifying.

"Kendra.." I said. I didn't know how to react to such plus Eva was crying louder now. "Uh," I reached my hand over and touched Kendra's arm. Then she screamed. She screamed to the top of her lungs, scaring me and the baby and probably waking Asha and Layla. "Kendra!" I yelled and put the baby down so I could shake her. She had to wake up now!

She came to while I was shaking her. "Patrick, Patrick, Patrick!"

"Are you okay?!" I asked frantically.

"Yeah, yeah.. I'm fine." She said as I held her. "I'm fine."

"Baby you--"

"Mommy.."

I looked over to our now opened door and seen Asha standing there. She was wiping her eyes and Layla came in behind her. Kendra got out of my grip and ran over to the both of them. I tried my best to get Eva to stop crying.

"Hey babies.."

"We heard screaming so we woke up." Asha said, still sleepy.
