It was 8:15. I was down at the station getting ready to send the swat team off.

"How's it going?" Shana came from inside.

"I feel like today is going to be a good day." I smiled. "Have you seen Officer Moore?"

"I just saw him inside. I'll go get him."

"Okay,"

The swat team loaded up and headed out. Then Officer Moore came out to drive Shana and I to the company. Polymer already told us that he had Breeding in his office and that he was going to hold him there. There was nothing left to do but bust in and get him.

I glanced over at Shana and she looked nervous as hell. I had thoughts to make her stay home but she wanted this case open, she needed to be there to see everything go down. Sounds like I'm being careless; playing with someone's life but Patrick can't get out of this one. He's going to jail... and after that I'm sure the judge will sentence him to death. He's done a lot.

Too much.

Early Monday morning.

I got up at the usual time to get my big girl ready for school, which might've been a bad idea. Today was different. I'd be doing this all alone. I had to get myself ready, Asha and my two little ones ready for Kelise when she got here.

Eva was bright eyed and ready to play. I held her up and begin to brush my teeth. While doing this my mind traveled to Kendra. I started to daydream about our conversation yesterday, reminding me that I needed to get down to the station to file the report. I had to save her. Eva's laugh threw me out of that as I continued to get ready.

I walked downstairs to the girls room to wake them up. To my surprise, my six year old little lady was awake. "I set my alarm clock." She said while holding her toothbrush in her hand. "I'll be ready in fifteen minutes." Asha completely wow'd me. She was taking this whole missing mommy thing better than I expected.

I let Layla sleep. Kelise could fight with her when she got here. This was her now at the door. I went over to get it.

Background on Kelise. Her records are clean as a whistle. She's been babysitting for two years and it's currently getting her Master's in child development. She lived about 30 minutes away from us so I gave her a tour of the house yesterday and let her get acquainted with my girls as well. I trusted her, because I had too. She would be dealing with three of the most important people in my life.

"Hi Mr. Breeding!" Kelise waved as she walked in.

"Please, call me Patrick." I told her while handing her Eva. "Eva hasn't eaten yet. Hasn't really complained about eating yet either. Layla is asleep. Asha usually gets on the bus in the mornings, but I'm going to take her today. The bus will drop her back off by 3. If you need anything and I mean, anything call me."

"I will, Patrick." She said formally. She sat in the living room and played with Eva.

"Asha!" I yelled out to her. "We gotta go baby!"

Asha came out dressed with her backpack. There was one problem. Her hair was a mess. I gave her a look that made her frown. "I tried." She admitted. One thing I did thank Kendra for was making me learn how to do the girls' hair.

I brushed her hair up and placed it in a neat bun. Asha was impressed, I was impressed, and even Kelise. Layla woke up and clapped.

I kissed my two babies bye and left off with my oldest one.
