          They walked into class and sat down. Mr. Matthews wrote 'The Civil War' on the board. "The civil war!" Mr. Matthews said. "The Civil War!" Maya said mocking him. "Thank you future mini-mart employee of the month." he said smiling. "We're not doing this again." she said.

          Everyone laughed except Riley. Riley laughs at everything, though. No one noticed except Farkle when he looked at her. His look changed into a  confused expression. He didnt want to say anything just in case there was something wrong. He didnt want to embarrass Riley.

          "Ms. Matthews can you tell me what the Civil War is?" Mr. Matthews asked getting Riley to look up. "Oh um, it was the war between the North and South. The war against ourselves?" Riley said causing Matthews to smile and nod. "The war against ourselves," he repeated "I like that."

          The bell rang and everyone grabbed their things and left the class. Riley went to the restroom with the gang not far behind. They stood in the hallway waiting. No one suspected anything, Farkle had brushed of the laughing thing. Riley was in the bathroom and she splashed water on her face.

           She looked in the mirror and thought: You ugly worthless girl. No one likes you they just feel sorry for you. No no Riley dont think like that they love you. No they dont!

          At that moment Riley realized she was in a Civil War, a war against herself. Riley was looking in the mirror and realized she was crying. She was trapped in a hell, her head. The words 'Worthless' 'Stupid' 'Ugly' kept replaying over and over. She splashed her face again and walked out to the surprise of her friends.

          "Riles are you okay? You like you have been crying." Maya said studying her face making the others study her face. "Oh yeah" she said with a slight giggle that was completely fake "Im so tired I basically had a yawn attack." Riley said and fake laughed making everyone else laugh.

          It got really quiet until "So wanna go to Topanga's after school?" Lucas asked. "Of course!" Riley said. She hadnt been to Topanga's in forever. They went ahead and started walking to Topanga's. When they got there they saw Shawn, Katy, and Topanga standing there. Shawn wasnt facing them so Riley set her stuff down. She snuck up behind Shawn and tackled him.

          Everyone laughed and he rolled over and Riley was on top of him. "Welcome back baby Cory!" he said Riley fake laughed. "Thanks Mr. Cory!" she replied. He smiled "Okay now get off." he said and pushed her off. Her screaming a little. Everyone started laughing. Riley went back into her thoughts: Uhg. They're laughing at you. They dont really like you if they laugh at you. No no what Shawn did was funny. No it wasnt it was obnoxious he doesnt like you no one likes y--

           "Riley? Riley Matthews!" Farkle and Maya were saying waving their hands in Riley's face kind of laughing and everyone else smiling. Riley came back to reality. "Sorry I was in my own world." She said with a fake chuckle. Yeah. A world called hell that you cant escape. She thought.

         She walked over with her friends sat down and started her homework. Those evil words still repalying in her head.
