Your POV
Brent Alexander Taddie. His name rolled off my tongue. It was something I was used to saying. Especially following with "I love you." or "Fuck you." It totally depended on the discussion. He was the love of my life, or so I thought. I caught him with his tongue down some groupie's mouth. He was perfect. His tattooed arms held me close to him. His kisses were like heroine to me. It was great. I miss him. I think about him a lot. It's only been a year. Hayden and I remained close friends after. Hayden had been over way too many times after they got back from tour. He's listened to me cry over Brent. He assures Brent is sorry, and he wants to give us a chance again. I'm not one to give chances, but for Brent, I would in a heart beat. He's my one. He's it for me. I've expressed this to Hayden and it hurts his heart to listen to me go on about this boy.

Hay: Meet me by the lake.
Me: Why you shady ass boi?
Hay: Just shut up and get down here.

He better not plan on anything. I slip on my creepers and I walk down the stairs of my apartment building. I get to my car and start the long drive to the lake, with Cross Our Bones on repeat. I get to the lake. I didn't see Hayden's car, he took pride in his car and would had told me if he got a new one. I see a figure standing on the dock of the lake, I didn't quite match Hayden's stature but oh well. I walk down to the dock. It was him. It was Brent Alexander Taddie. Fuck me, he looked so gorgeous.

"Hey," Brent speaks lowly.
"Hi," I say as I admire his tattoos, I miss them around me.
"I think Hayden set us up," Brent says lowly.
"I think he did," I agree.
"Fuck Tree, always so cunning," Brent lets out a small laugh.
"Always working magic," I nod with a smile.
"It's nice seeing you," Brent comments.
"You too," I mumble.
"How've you been?"
"I've been good. You?"
"I've been okay."
"I miss you."
"What?"
"I miss you, Brent."
"I miss you too, y/n."

We sit down on the dock, after kicking off our shoes and roll up our pant legs. Our feet dangled in the water as we made small talk. Soon the sun was setting and I look at Brent. He looks back at me. I offer him a little smile. He returns the smile. I lean my head on his shoulder. Our hands find each other and lace together. Everything felt right again. He was my everything. I love him still.

"If you want another chance, just ask, because it's a yes," I say quietly to him.
"I do want another chance, I love you a lot," he answers me.
"I love you a lot too," I say to him.

He pulls me close and we share a kiss. It was everything. I missed his lips a lot. His arms found their way around me. I miss the warmth he radiated.
