People like us,
never really cared for
rules or
standards.Never really understood,
why people would
do, or say, or wear certain things. Just because they expect you to.
Clothes that "fit" you
your age, or gender, or size.
For people like us
rules weren't really a thing to actualize.
Rules
maybe boundaries to some, who don't realize,
how easy it is to break them.I remember people like us,
had imaginations,
associations,
fascinations,
like no other.Like the fact time changes everything.
I had a hard time accepting,
I shouldn't be expecting,
so much of it.Or like the sky, something with a million skins
but still at the same place, always
visible to everyone.People like us,
saw beautiful things around us.
We didn't even try to.
Maybe we had a different kind of view.We saw hands, scarred and pale,
from something no one knows about. And cracks in the street.
To us
it looked like lightning.To us
people like us
we were
like no other
like us
like you
we were.People were
people.Maybe we're not that different after all.
