We used to have pancakes for breakfast
While the leaves began falling,
and the wind began pulling on the trees.I always thought it'd last.
But houses lose their warmth I guess,
when people leave. My momma said, enjoy it while it lasts.
I never understood. We used to have pancakes for breakfast.
I'd tuck my hair behind my ears.
My brother'd always lose his glasses, and wear miss-matching socks.
Enjoy it while it lasts they said,
I did.
The warmth,
the smell,
the feeling.But now,
I'm alone,
at last. Now I'm alone at last.
.
Most of my poems aren't that personal tbh, but this one, the least deep and poetic one. I don't know, it just does mean a lot to me. I guess I'm a sentimental person as well XD
