I walked through to the kitchen. Who in the hell did Luis think he was? I couldn't take another person living in my father's house! I simply couldn't. But I wasn't going to say no to him anytime soon. No, Luis scared me. A lot. So did Erin, but he was at least rational. I just loved it, them walking all over me, thinking I was oblivious. I'm not, I just hide my emotions. They're my weakness, and the others won't get to see them.
I found the papers in a drawer in the bright room, illuminated by a glowing fire. Looking around, I saw Fay sat at the table. She was staring out the window, where the rain pounded the ground. Awaking from her daydream, she looked to me, smiling.
"Hi Kelsey." She said cheerily. I walked over.
"Guess what, Fay?" I asked. She looked at me, eager for gossip. Not much had happened in the house for a while. People had been out, or sleeping, or irritable. I had expected as much due to it being the Christmas break.
"What?" I sighed.
"Luis has brought another girl back."
"Oh god. Not another!" Originally it was me, him, Erin, Cassidy, Hollis and Fay. Now there was twelve of us. He just picked up girls (and boys) wherever he went.
"Yep. Hayley, her name is. Seems alright, but I really just can't be bothered with another person right now."
"You need to let me see her!" She begged.
"Of course, just a sec." I grabbed the papers and took Fay's hand, leading her through the door to the kitchen. I saw Erin sulking by himself, sitting on a table. Luis was apologising to Hayley, who looked strangely plain for the likes of what Luis usually dragged in. She was pretty, I guessed, but oddly boring. Mousy, light brown hair fell to her shoulders, and her face looked like most faces do. She was pale and curvy, wearing fairly average clothes for someone who had just come in from one of the worst storms the English countryside had seen in a few years.
I introduced Fay to Hayley and they exchanged smiles. I walked over to Hayley, handing her the papers, noticing that she was considerably taller than me. Dammit, everyone in the damn house was taller than me. She thanked me, and I told her she was welcome (she wasn't). She asked for a pen and I found one for her. Erin muttered something about me sucking up to the new girl. I chose to ignore him.
"Thank you, Kelsey. Should I take my things up to my room?" She asked, handing the papers back.
"Oh, yeah. Maybe Fay could take you up?" I offered. I saw the two of them becoming good friends. Fay took her hand and they ran up to the attic together. See if Hayley stole Fay from me, I would personally kick her out. I can deal with most things, but if that happened, god help her. I turned to the boys.
"Is that all?" I asked warily, but still managing to seem helpful.
"Yes. Thank you." Said Luis. He may have been an ass, but a smile like that could win anyone over.

Hey! I'm just playing around with Kelsey being a little darker than everyone expects. It's really fun to write lol.
