I sat on a sofa in the Manor House living room, waiting for Luis to come back. He always waltzed off when I least expected it, and it was really annoying to be honest. The others were all studying or fooling around or whatever in their own rooms. I wouldn't have minded studying myself, I'm a very studious person, I'll have you know. I should have been studying actually, I'm sure I had a paper due for my college professor, but oh well. Luis meant much more to me than my degree.
So I was the only one in the room. Well, apart from Kelsey, but everyone usually ignored him, even though it was his house we were all technically staying in. I was around the same age as him, but he was nearly a foot shorter, with pale skin and dark, contrasting hair. He was sweet, I guessed, but just a little bit clueless. He looked up from his laptop, offering me an unsure smile as we both heard three harsh knocks, and the door swinging open shortly after. It had to be Luis.
"Hey!" I called to him, running to the hall to see him. I expected him to be by himself, I admit, with perhaps a bag of groceries, but certainly not a common girl from the streets. She was buttoned up in a navy trench coat, trailing a tacky pink suitcase behind her. She smiled and looked around her, confused. I ignored the smile and turned to whisper to Luis.
"So... Who is she?" I urgently asked as we walked into the living room. He laughed.
"This is Hayley. She's looking for a place to stay, Erin." Gesturing to Hayley, she waved at me. Again I chose to ignore her.
"Well, have you asked Kelsey?" I asked. The last thing we needed was another roommate. God, we already had eleven. Luis turned to Kelsey, who was watching with blissful obliviousness. Thank god it was him there, anyone else would have been able to see my ridiculous clingy behaviour.
"That's what I came here to do." He smirked adorably. "Kelsey, is it alright if Hayley stays for a while? We have space, right?" Kelsey obviously shouldn't have let her in, but people don't disagree with Luis. That's just fact.
"Um. Sure. I guess. I'll just go get the paperwork." And he left in a rush. Luis turned to me.
"Alright, Erin. Dude. I know I can be a bit of a dick, but can you please at least be hospitable to Hayley? She will be staying here for a while." I tried to stifle my anger. How could he just do that? You can't just invite people in to live in your house!
"Fine. I'm sorry Hayley. I'm Erin." She moved over to shake my hand, and she nervously laughed.
"Erin? Isn't that a girl's name?" ...Rude.
"Well, no. Because I am a boy. It's a boy's name if it's been given to a boy." I informed her.
"Oh, of course. Sorry." She laughed. It wasn't funny, but I didn't say anything. While I wanted to stay with Luis longer, I frankly couldn't stand his new lady friend, or him for that matter, bringing her in. How dare he?

Hey! Hope that's ok for a second chapter :) I really love Erin tbh. He's so cute haha. Talk to me, or comment, or anything really <3
