Ella's P.O.V
"But- but, but she said," suddenly, Chloe stopped throwing tantrums and faced me. "You, you lied?"
Looking into her eyes, I couldn't help but feel guilt. Kaya iniwas ko ang tingin ko sakanya at yumuko.
"I can't believe this. I can't believe you." Parang nanggagalaiti niyang saad sakin. "You lied to me. You said if I spend my f*cking important time on that party, they'll grant me anything. But no!! I just wasted everything!!"
I could see hatred in her eyes. Hindi ko maintindihan kung bakit sobrang importante ng pupuntahan niya dapat kanina. Pero alam may dahilan siya.
"Bakit ba? Saan ka ba dapat pupunta kanina?? Diba sabi ko may pupuntaha ka sana?? Where?!" I provoked her.
"You don't understand-"
"Then make me understand, Chloe-"
"You won't, Ella!! You won't and you never will!"
Habang nagsisigawan kami ay nakatingin lang samin ang mga magulang at kaibigan namin.
"You know what? This will result to nothing. Everything's too late. And it's all because of you. It's all because of that g*dd*mn debut party!" Sigaw niya sabay labas ng bahay.
Nandito kami ngayon sa Phillips' Residence. Dito kami dumiretso nang matapos ang party. But then, when Chloe asked our parents about our deal, she became furious.
-*Flashback*-
"Hey, sweetie. How are you?" Bungad ng mommy ni Chloe nang makarating kami.
"I'm fine, mom. Nandito lang ako para singilin kayo." Walang emosyong saad ni Chloe.
Yes. She showed no emotion. But I could sense something. She was happy.
"Singilin? What's this about, Chloe?? Hindi ko naman naaalalang nagkautang kamj sayo." Nakangiting tanong ng mommy niya.
Her mom's always been this humble. No matter how harsh any word may come out of someone's mouth, it sounded good at hers. She's different from Chloe. A lot different.
"Mom, drop the act. I attended the event. Where's my prize of appreciation?" Tanong ni Chloe habang nakangiting halatang plastik.
"Prize of appreciation? Is that how I thought you about a parent's order, Chloe?" Parang na-o-offend na tanong ng mommy niya.
"But- but, but, she said," suddenly, Chloe stopped throwing tantrums and faced me. "You, you lied?"

With a sigh, I faced Chloe's mom who seemed to be so worried about her daughter.
"Sorry, tita. Napangakuan ko po kasi si Chloe na may kapalit ang pagpunta namin sa party. Hindi ko naman po alam na seryoso siya. Sinabi ko lang po yun para mapilit siya na magstay sa party." Paghingi ko ng pasensya. I bowed my head at her, just how we've been taught, to show my respect and sincerity.
