Chapter 1 The Crash

Kylins pov
Mum could we get some mistletoe while were at the tree farm I asked.
"Sure hun. You should call Emma to see what else we need for the party." My mum suggested.

I called up my best friend Emma.

"Hello?"
"Hey Em I'm out running errands with my parents what else do we need for the Christmas party?" I asked.

"Well we need a new strand of red lights the one I have is burnt out, and we will need the Christmas cupcakes we orders from Bake-a-boo and ...

Dad look out !!! I screamed as a car few forward us and hit us head on.

I feel my body be thrown around the car as we spin out and the sound of breaking glass I can feel it hit the back of my head as it shatters.

My parents were both unconscious.

I tried to move but pain shot through my body.

"KY are you OK? KYLIN ANSWER ME!" Emma yelled threw the phone, that was the last thing I heard before everything went black.



Nialls pov.

Ring. Ring. Ring.
"Niall no phones during rehearsals!" Paul scolded.

"Sorry Paul." As I pulled my phone out of my pocket and answered it.

"Hello?" I said answering my phone.

"Can I speak to Niall J. Horan please ?" The women asked.

"Speaking." I responded.

"I'm very sorry but there was a car crash I'm afraid, Chris Parker and Elise Parker have been killed and their daughter Kylin has been injured. We were told to contact you." The lady told me.

"Oh my god."Is all I could get out.

"I know this is a lot to take in but Kylin is at London medical center if you wish you see her."

The women hung up and I stood there in complete and utter shock how could the Parkers be dead! I grew up with Ky she was like my little sister and I was like a second child to her parents.

"Niall ???... Nialll ???... NIALL! " Liam shouted trying to get my attention.

"Are you alright mate you look like you've seen a ghost?"

"No. I'm not alright the Parker's are dead! They died in a car crash Kylin is alive but has been injured." I Liam.

"Wait the Kylin who you use to be best friends with until she moved the day you left for the X-Factor and haven't talked to her since Kylin?" Liam asked

"Yeah that's her." I sighed.

"Paul!! " I yelled.

"What Niall?" He asked with a bit of annoyance in his voice.

"I need to leave Kylin is is the hospital and her parents are dead." I explained to Paul.

"Alright but have Liam drive Niall to the hospital your to shaken up to drive." Paul told me.

"Best of luck mate we hope Ky will be alright." Louis said bringing me into a hug.

"Thanks Lou." I said hugged him back and tears slipped down of my face.

"Come on Niall we better get going." Liam said.

We headed out of the studio and stared making our way to the hospital all I could think about is how horrible of a friend I've been Ky and if she would ever forgive me for not contacting her in over 3 years.

We arrive at the hospital and I rush inside and start looking for Kylin I don't see her anywhere my heart is racing I'm too shaken up to think straight. I just need to see Ky. I need to know that she is alive.

"Niall come check in would you you're running around here like a maniac." Liam said calling me over to the front desk.

"Sign here and here are your visitor passes Ms.Parker is is room 229." The front desk lady said and handed us our passes.

I rushed down to 229 Liam trying to keep up with me. I turned the corner and came face to face with her room.

" Are you going to go in mate?" Liam asked.

"What is I go in there and she doesn't want to see me? What if she hates me for not contacting her all these years.?" I ask Liam as I wipe my tears from my face.

"Niall if she didn't make an attempt to contact you either she wont hate you. If anything she will be relieved she will need someone there to help her through all shes been through in the past few hours." Liam told me.

"Yeah I guess your right." I said before turning the handle to her room and opening it.

There she was lying in the hospital bed asleep. Her left wrist was in a cast and she had a bandage on her for-head. She had deep bruising around her shoulders.

Liam rested his hand on my shoulder and said Paul was on his way and he was going to go get something to eat. He offered to bring me back some but I wasn't in the mood to eat all I cared about was Ky.

I sat down in the chair next to her and gave her a kiss on the top of her hand.

The door started to open and a doctor walked in.

"I was told Ms. Parker had visitors i'd like to inform you of her condition." The doctor said.

"That would be great thank you." I responded.

"So as you can probably already guess Ms. Parker has a broken left wrist and has a cut on the right side of her for-head which there is 15 stitches. She has a minor concussion and deep bruising on he shoulders and on her hips. she was very lucky to come away with so few injures in a wreck like this." the Doctor explained.

"Her parents weren't so lucky." I said looking down to the floor.

" Yes I'm afraid they were not." The doctor said with a sorrowful look.

"Dose she know about her parents yet?" I asked.

"No. She has no knowledge of their passing." The doctor told me.

"Ms.Parker should wake up in a few hours once her medication wheres off." With that the doctor left.

I look over to Ky her broken, beaten body just laying there.

" I'm sorry Kylin for not calling or emailing or contacting you in any way. I got busy with the X-Factor and you had moved England. If I could go back in time and some how contact you I would. I wish I had come and visit you and your parents I wish I got to tell them one last good bye. Ky you are practically my little sister and I love you so much. I still think about the days we spent together as kids you were always getting picked on in primary school for being from England. I remember the day Riley Pennington shoved you into the lockers and I gave him a black eye for it he never touched you again after that. You were always there for me too, when Anna Buckley tried to frame me for cheating on mid terms you stood by me when no one else would and you proved that it was a set up." I said to the sleeping Kylin.

"Hey Niall I'm back and Paul just got here too I brought you some food just in case you wanted some." Liam said as he entered the room with two bags of McDonald's and some waters.

"I'm still not up for food but i'll take a water." I told Liam as he handed me a water

"Thanks Li." I said.

"No problem Ni how is she? " Liam asked.

"The doctor said she would wake up in a few hours once her medication wheres off." I explained to Li.

"Hey boys fill me in." Paul says as walks in the room.

"Well Ky had a broken wrist 15 stitches in her for-head and some bad bruising on her hips and shoulder and she will wake in a few hours." I told Paul.

The door opened and a girl was standing there crying staring at us.

"Umm Paul I think a fan found us." Liam said pointing to the crying girl.

"Ms. I'm going to have to ask you to leave." Paul said grabbing her arm trying to lead the girl out of the room.

"DON'T FU*CKING TOUCH ME THAT'S MY BEST FRIEND LYING IN THAT BED. RIGHT NOW I DON'T GIVE A SH!T IF YOUR FAMOUS OR NOT!" The girl screamed.

"Its OK just calm down." Liam said resting his hand on her shoulder.

" I was on the phone with Kylin when I herd her scream and a bunch of crashes and the line went dead." Shes said through her sobs.

"Whats your name love?" I asked her.

"My names Emma." She replied.

"Is Ky going to be alright?" She asked me.

"Yes Kylin will be fine."

"Where are her parents?" Emma asked.

"Emma you should sit down for this." I said. She sat in the chair next to Ky's bed.

"Kylin's parents are dead they died in the crash. Kylin was lucky to survive and come out with few injuries." I told her.

"Oh my gosh." Is all she said as she started to cry harder.

I got up and walked over to her and embraced her in a hug. She gladly accepted and I smiled I'm glad Ky has someone in her life who cares about her this much.
