The 1:00 am confession !

Someone arrived

I immediately backed off from Ryan and spoke, "Neil this is Ryan and Ryan this is Neil".
Ryan looked at him thinking *oh so he is the one* and Neil looked at him with an expression of bewilderment.
Instead of the rude comment or a punch Neil said, "can I have a word with you Naina?" And so I walked along with him into the room.
As I walked I turned behind to see Ryan, he too was looking at me and he gave a comforting nod to keep going. A faint voice was heard as the door closed behind.

"How have you been Naina?" Neil asked me.
I was surprised.
He didn't react to what he saw outside? I asked myself.
I wondered what to answer when I did not want to be with him and I didn't want him to have any hopes.
So I spoke, "I have been doing quite well and that does not make me feel to get back to you."
He was confused at what I said, for I never was rude to anybody.
"Naina?" He called to me softly like he always did after he wanted just to get me back after a fight we had.
I didn't reply.
Instead he just got up and said "you'll have to finish packing, we're leaving in about 4 hours ."
I didn't answer to what he said instead just said, "I think so Ryan might be waiting," and stood up to leave.
I felt that Neil tried to move and stop me but didn't say a word. So I left.

The living room was completely silent. And Ryan wasn't there. I wondered where had he gone and then decided to go to the park bench. As I walked down I was caught between the thoughts of where Ryan could be, what Neil would be thinking, and what would I answer to dad. I was just getting used to this new environment and all of this had to happen. I didn't have Nidhi beside me and was so terrified of the thought that practically at the moment I was alone.
Tears rolled down my cheeks as though the dew drops falling off the leaves after the heavy wind blowing.
I went towards the bench. It was the place after all that would comfort me abit.
To my surprise Ryan was already there.
I said "hi" as I sat beside him.
He looked up, "when did you come?" He asked pretty much surprised.
And he had tears in his eyes, which he wiped off quickly, not letting me notice but I did.
"Just now" I replied. "But what's the thing with you ?" I asked him.
"Oh nothing ," he said.
"Oh please, you think your face is so perfect that it can hide your emotions, then you've got this wrong. You have to tell me what's wrong, why were you crying?" I asked him in a pretty dominating tone that he had to answer.
He said, "it's because of me that you're getting into all this right? And this makes me worry. Why should you be in trouble because of someone you've just known like almost a week ago, you think you would want to face this.?"
He was being honest.
But that wasn't what I thought.
I cleared it to him, I said, "i will face it! see Ryan, Neil has been my past and I have forgotten him. Right now even if I'm talking to him is because of dad and as a friend. I have nothing for him at all and after he left me 2 years back when I needed him the most to make me understand why it would work he wasn't around. I don't think he anymore cares about me or maybe he never did. It's just dad's money that he's always wanted and I know that for sure now. He didn't even ask me about you upstairs."
"What? How could he not? From the way you had told me about his temperament I thought he would have made a huge fuss!" Ryan said.
"I thought the same, but he didn't care, see!" I said.

It was 4 and we hadn't had our lunch, so we decided to go to a nearby restaurant and eat something, that would at least make us up.
As I reached home I realized that the door was open and a suitcase was kept there. Not a big one but a small one day trip sized. Was Neil ready or had he packed mine? I thought.
Just then I heard voices from my room, they both seemed familiar and I knew one was Neil's, but who could be along?
Someone arrived out of the room.
It was dad!

What was he doing here?

I had no idea , who had called him and when in all these years he used to fill my bank account and please me why did he have to come now?

So so so, here comes a very important person out of no where.

Who called dad?
Why was he here?

Naina was already into so much and now she knew not much of what she could do.
