"Lucy, just play with the flower, okay? Don't go anywhere."
The feline 'meow-ed', maybe it's her way to tell the redhead that she understand her words. It was a usual Sunday morning for the woman, also her kitten. They had their Sunday morning's routine as always, with the woman sat on the wooden bench while her kitten played with flowers on the park. The woman whose name is Seo Yisoo always came to the park, not so far from her apartment after church in order to relax herself from her busy weekday and give Lucy, her kitten, time to play. Accompanied with a book on her hand, she enjoyed her free time and waited for Lucy at the same time.
Lucy and her shared similar liking on flowers, although the munchkin kitten just loves all flowers, without any preferences, not like her owner. Unlike much of women, she didn't love red roses. They said, it's a way to express your love to someone special. But, she would prefer white roses or sunflowers or irises instead of red roses. Once or twice in a week, she would spare her time to visit a flower shop, called Hummingbird's Creation, to buy a bouquet of flowers. Any kind of them but red roses. She knew she's weird because she hates the most romantic flower that women like. But, yeah, that's Seo Yisoo.
A rustling that she heard for some minutes ago disappeared and she just realized that her kitten was nowhere to be seen. Ah, she was too mesmerized by the book on her hands. The red haired woman got up from her seat, taking her bag and book with her to go look for Lucy.
"Lucy!" She called her pet's name repeatedly with a rather loud voice as she walked around the park. Yisoo cursed herself for being careless.
"Lucy-ya, where are you?" She called her again, now more panicked than before. It's not like she couldn't live without Lucy but she just loves her too much. How Lucy greeted her everytime she got home, curled on her feet when she was watching TV, accompanied her when she read books, sat on her lap when she played her black piano, and much more.
Yisoo kept looking around and search for the gray-and-white colored creature until...
"Lucy!!" She ran towards the kitten which apparently curled in someone's feet. "There you are!" She huffed. Anyone could tell that she was worried just by looking at her red orbs. Yisoo took Lucy and cradled her in her arms.
"Is that your cat?" A heavy voice could be heard next.Ah. She just remembered that the owner of those feet was there, too.
Yisoo straightened her body and looked at the man. Her eyes widened slightly ―and automatically― but she was able to control her expression in a split second. She bowed politely, "Yes. I'm sorry if she bothered you."
"She didn't bother me." His reply made her kind of slightly surprised, "Actually, she's adorable, if I may say. But..."
"But?"
"She refused to be touched by me."Lucy, you naughty kitten.
"Lucy never got to interact with anyone but me. Honestly, when she curled at your feet just now, I quite amused." Yisoo tried to explain.
"I see. One high-maintenance cat." He muttered.
"Oh, no. She's easy to handle. She maybe just afraid with strangers," She scratched the top of Lucy's head, "Here. Try to touch her now."Yisoo offered Lucy to the man. He was hesitated at first but later on, he succeeded on scratching the back of Lucy's ears. Lucy purred as a respon.
"Oh my. She doesn't refuse it now." Yisoo giggled in amusement. Lucy crawled from her hold to jump at the man. He catched her in surprise.
"Whoa. Easy there." A small smile appeared on his face.
"It seems like she has already fallen in love with you." She pretended to be sad for awhile but smiled a second later.
"So, her name is Lucy, huh?" He asked.Yisoo blinked several times before she nodded.
"She's much smaller than Elizabeth the 3rd."
She cocked an eyebrow, "... Excuse me?"
"She's my cat."
"Ah. I see. Such a royal name for a cat." Yisoo chuckled, "I believe she's beautiful."
"Indeed." He handed Lucy back to her. He's so proud with his cat.
"Well, I have to excuse myself now. It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Han."
It's not surprising if she knew the man's name. His face was all over the magazines, mostly the business and woman's one. The handsome executive director and the heir of C&R International.
"Han Jumin."
"Pardon?"
"I prefer to be called by my name, not by my title. Or..." Jumin stared at her, "are you one of my employees?"
Yisoo chuckled as she shook her head immediately.
"Okay then, Han Jumin-ssi."
"And... may I know your name?"Oh. An unexpected question.
"Yisoo."
Another smile made an appearance on her face.
"Seo Yisoo."
