Th center of town was nice, but I wasn't really paying attention. I had gone to the general store and the other stores already. Now, I was sittiing on a bench in the park.
Becuase of my 'special aura' I guess you could say I attract nature. The leaves began rustling, the trees whistling. Looking to both sides, I flicked my fingers down. A cherry red apple landed in my hand. My teeth dug into the skin, juice squirting into my mouth.
"How'd you do that?" Someone was behind me. I whipped around to be faced with a boy about my age. He had sandy blonde hair and blue eyes, any girl's dream guy. But I'm not any girl. I'm actually not that interested in guys at all. Maybe because most of the horrible people I've met have been guys.
"I guess it just...fell." I took another bite.
"Yeah, right after you made your fingers do some wierd thing."
I shrugged and kept eating.
"You new here?" Good, he changed the subject.
"Yeah. Staying with Lucinda and her family."
"Oh. I know them. Nice people."
I nodded.
"You know school start in a few days."
I frowned, remembering.
"Yeah."
"You know your schedule yet?"
I shook my head.
"Not a big talker are you?"
I stifled a small laugh. "You don't know my yet."
"You're right, I don't. Hope to see you around." He waved and walked off.
This town wasn't that bad actually.
I got up, hoping no one else had seen me get an apple from the oak tree above me.
