Miranda's pov

I was crying in my bed, mother rubbing my back. He just left me for dead after I gave him the crown just like mother said. She was right and I should've listened to her. I turn over. "I'm sorry mother. I wish I listened to you." She rests a hand on my head. "It isn't your fault. I'm just glad you're okay." "I'm gonna nap." She leaves and I look up at the heavily painted walls that I painted. I lift the little flag into the air, staring at it. My eyes go wide.

Jason's pov

I come to when I hit the dock. "Miranda?!" I scream worried. Where is she?! I look up. Oh no! The guards. The leader guy smiles. "Finally." Shit! I'm tied up. They knocked me out and tied me up. The guard slashes the rope and pulls me up, instantly handcuffing me. "What are ya gonna do with me?" "The gallows are something to look forward to." He says then laughs. My eyes go wide. "No! You can't! I've gotta help her!! She needs my help!" "You helping? You're the worst liar." "I'm not lying!" I yell struggling to get away.

Miranda's pov

"MOTHER!" I walk out there shakily. "I'm the lost princess." Her eyes go wide. "What? Don't be ridiculous." "No it's true I'm the lost princess. You aren't my mother!" I can't believe this!!! She stands up furious. "You aren't going anywhere." She growls.

Jason's pov

I can't believe they're gonna kill me. Suddenly the door in front of us slams. Huh? The door behind us slams shut too. I see two little ceramic unicorns. Holy. The guys from the bar! Wow! All because of a song?! Then again that one song she sang changed my mind... And my whole outlook on life. The guys take out the guards. "Thanks." He breaks my handcuffs. "Now go get that girl." I smile. "I will." I take off running as fast as I can to her tower.

Miranda's pov

She chained me up and gagged me thus proving I am the lost princess and she kidnapped me. She won't let me go. I hear something at the window. My eyes go wide, seeing Jason crawl through. "Miranda!" He gasps, seeing me. "No! Go!" I cry beggingly, the gag muffling what I wanted to say. The woman stabs him in the side! Fear fills me. "Jason!" His eyes go wide and he hits his knees. His hand pressed to the wound. I struggle to pull free as she drags me away. "No!" I yell, the gag falling. I take a deep shaky breath. "Stop!" She glares at me. "I've had enough of your fighting! Come on!" "No! For the rest of my life I'll fight to get away from you!" I scream falling into the mirror, shattering it. She glares at me. "But...." She raises an eyebrow. "But what?" "If you let me heal him, I'll go with you and I won't fight. I won't try to escape. I'll be yours forever just like you wanted. Just let me heal him!" I beg, shakily. She stares at him.

Jason's pov

She cuffs me to the wall. Not that it would matter. I can't move from the pain. "In case you decide to follow us." She growls, standing up. "Jason!" Miranda cries. I stare at her, my side burning. "It's okay. I'll heal you." She says. "No! You can't. I can't.... Let you be stuck with her forever." She stares at me wide eyed. "No it'll be okay. I'll heal you. I'll be fine." "No you won't." I push her hair away from me. "Don't heal me." "B-But J-Jason.... You'll die." I pick up a piece of the mirror. She tries to heal me but I cut her hair using the piece of glass. Her eyes go wide in horror. "Jason?! Why?!" "No!" The bitch holding her against her will cries.

Miranda's pov

I see the light fading from his eyes. "You...... You were.... My new dream." He whispers. My mother fades away like dust. "Oh Jason!" I whimper, my eyes filling with tears. I knew he couldn't have just left me! I cry softly, a hand on his chest. Tears land on him. "Oh Jason!"

Jason's pov

My eyes go wide. I take a deep breath. How.... How am I alive?! I stare at her shocked. She wipes her eyes and whispers my name. I smile and sit up, pulling her into a kiss, her arms wrapping around my neck. She undoes the shackles, my hands wrapping around her waist. "I love you." I whisper. "I love you too."

*later*

"I'm nervous." She whispers. Not to mention me. I could get killed going here. But maybe they'll give me a pardon for bringing the princess home. Her crown was tucked under her arm. "Here put this on." I say, putting it on her head. "You won't leave me?" "I promise I won't." I say, smiling. I nervously knock on the door. The gates open, a guard instantly puts a gun in my face. "WAIT!" I gasp, blocking my face. "I found the lost princess!" His eyes go wide. We follow him to the castle. "Your majesty." The guard says. They turn around. "Presenting princess Miranda." She's definitely frightened.

Miranda's pov

"It's okay. They're your parents and they've been looking for you for a long time." Jason says, a hand on my shoulder. Tears fill my eyes. I hug him. "Thanks..... For everything.... Well.... It looks like I say that a lot." He laughs softly. "You don't need to thank me." He says, smiling. I turn to my parents. "Mom..... Dad.... I'm home!"
