John's POV
I felt relaxed. I felt an uncomfortable amount of comfort that I wasn't ready for. Yet, just being in his arms for the time being felt nice. It felt right. I inhaled deeply and shifted to face Alexander. "Hey..." He mumbled and flashed me an innocent grin the almost made me melt. "Hi..." I responded and smiled shakily at his small gesture.
Maybe he does like me. This wouldn't be the first time I let my assumptions get the best of me. I moved closer and nuzzled into his neck. I felt him stiffen and I bit my lip, almost to the point I could taste blood. Alexander pulled me closer and kissed the top of my head.
No one's ever treated me like that. I feel so comforted. "Hey...Um...are you okay?" Alexander asked after a while, breaking the silence. I hummed and nodded. "I'm sorry for being so rude to you..." I muttered quietly and gripped the back of Alexander's shirt. "You didn't deserve that..." I hiccupped and felt my eyes water.
Alexander pulled away and cupped my cheeks in his hands. "Hey princess, chin up, your tiara is falling off." He smiled gently wiped my tears. I blushed lightly and nuzzled into Alexander's hands. "Why are you being so nice to me?" I asked.
Alexander shrugged and pulled me in for another hug. "Everyone deserves a second chance..." He whispered quietly. I simply nodded and closed my eyes. I relaxed slowly and sighed. I loved being in his arms. I loved him being in my bed. "Thank you..." I murmured into his chest.
Something washed over me. I don't know what it was, but it was quick. I found myself shifting upwards and staring into Alexander's dark brown eyes. He stared back at me wide eyes, biting his bottom lip. I felt a the grip around my waist tighten and he pulled me closer. I placed my hands on his thin shoulders and leaned in a bit. He leaned in as well and closed his eyes.
This is wrong. We just met. I moved away and sighed. "I'm sorry...I just don't want to build something...not just yet..." Alexander blinked and nodded slowly. "I understand." I swear I could hear his heart break.
