I text Rylee and tell her everything while Jacobs asleep. She is super happy for us and I knew she would be. I then fall asleep along with Jacob.
"You know I was just kidding about saying all that right?" He says when I wake up. "I don't like you! That's gross!" He complains. "I only hung out with you because Rylee said to, I would do anything for her. But you?" He keeps saying things over and over again. I then go to school. I tell Rylee I didn't like him anymore and she lashes out at me. "Sammy stop lying to yourself! You love him open your eyes!" She yells. I try to respond but I can't.
"Sammy! Wake up!" I hear Jacob yell. I open my eyes quickly. "You were having a bad dream." He says. "Do you want to talk about it?" He asks calmly. "No, it's fine." I say faking a smile. He crawls into bed next to me and holds me into his arms. "It won't happen again. I'm here, I will protect you." He coos softly. With that I fall asleep again with no bad dreams.
"Sammy, your mom dropped off some clothes." Jacobs mom responds. I get up and noticing Jacob isn't anywhere in sight. She hands me the clothes and I thank her. I walk into the bathroom locking the door behind me. The curtain pulls back revealing a naked body drenched in water as shock crosses his face.
