|The Next Day|

I walk into the school building alone. I look around and see Rylee, Hayes, Carter, and Jacob talking to two girls. One pretty blonde and another that I couldn't see very well. "Hey Sams! Come meet Reagan and Jensyn!" Rylee yells over. I slowly walk over to them. "Hey, I'm Samantha." I great trying to be polite and smiling at both of them. "Hey, in Reagan." One of the girl says. I look over to the girl that I'm guessing is Jensyn and she isn't even paying attention. She's just staring at Jacob. "Hello Jensyn." I speak up. "Oh, hi." She replies. "Reagan wanna go with me to meet up with Hayes?!" Rylee asks with a smile. Reagan nods and they start walking down the hall together smiling and laughing. I look over to Jacob and he is at a different table talking to Jensyn. "Hey Carter?" I question. "Hm?" He asks. "What do you think of Jensyn?" I ask. "Well, I've known her for awhile. She's really nice and funny." He says with a smile. "Why." He questions. "No reason." I say quietly before taking my phone out and getting on Snapchat.

Jensyn's POV

I'm so excited to see Rylee and Jacob again! Me and Rylee have had our hard times but me and Jacob have always been close. And I've always liked Jacob I don't know if he knows though since the last time I seen him was when we broke up. "So how have you been?" He asks smiling. "Good, what about you?" I ask smiling back. "Good." He says back. We start talking about all our memories which makes me laugh. "Hey Jay. Who's this Samantha girl?" I ask curiously. "Oh, Uhm... do you want me to be honest?" He asks. I nod. "She was my best friend. Until we started dating, but we broke up because I was being stupid." He explains. "And you still love her?" I ask upset. "I don't know. Im kinda stuck between to people." He says smiling at me which makes me blush severely. "Hey Jen!" Hayes says as he walks over with Rylee and Reagan. "Hey!" I say as I hug him.

|Rylees POV|
"Hey Jacob, where's Sams?" I ask noticing her and Carter aren't here. "I don't know." He says looking at the ground. "Jacob, I think we need to talk." Hayes says as they both walk away. I sit down between the two groups trying to listen to both. "What's up with you!?" Hayes asks. "What's do you mean?" Jacob replies. "You say you like Sammy but then you go over and flirt with Jen!" He says getting angry. "Hayes, what if I'm not sure which one I like? Maybe I like both!" Jacob says getting defensive. Jacob then pushes Hayes out of his way and walks out the door of the school. I walk over to Hayes and act like I heard nothing. "How'd it go?" I ask. "Rylee, I know you were listening." He says as a smile creeps across his face. "Pfft what?" I say awkwardly as he laughs. The bell then rings. "Ready to go to class?" He asks still smiling like nothing happened. "Yeah." I say looking at him with a smile. He grands my hand and we walk to our first hour class.

|Sammys POV|
I get back to school right when the bell rings. I see Rylee and Hayes walking to class together as usual and Reagan and Jensyn in the office getting their schedules, but I don't see Carter or Jacob anywhere. "You don't like her." Jacob says from behind me. "Why do you think that?" I ask turning to face him. "I know you don't." He says with a taunting smile before he walks in a separate direction to go to his class. "Well, dang." Carter says with a small laugh. "That's what I'm thinking." I say giggling. I turn and look at Carter. We spent a good minute just looking at each other before he grabs my hand and intertwines our fingers before he walks me to class.
