Title: 9.4/10
Nothing too complicated. Nothing to dwell deeper about. Short and to the point. It straight up tells what the story is going to be and what exactly the author is aiming at.Description/Foreword: 10/10
There is a snippet of the conversation between the characters in the description which is absolutely wonderful and adorable. Good use of language. Beautifully written.
The prologue is spot on. I have no words. I might even give a 12 on 10 for it.Originiality/Creativity/Plot: 10/10
Amazing. The concept is so new and different. Yes, we know what assassins are. But the plot matters. Quite frankly, when I decide to read a story, I construct a plot in my mind. If the story deludes my plot-in a good way-completely, that is the story that captures my mind, attention, heart, spirit, everything. Because come on. Who would want to read a story when we know exactly what's going to commence. I certainly don't. Twists, when they are quite forwardly announced makes readers less immersed in the story and more keen on solving the puzzle alone. And that shouldn't be the case in my opinion. When you read a story, it should make you think, think and think again. It should draw you in. This story did that to me. And I assure you with all that I have, that this story will get you interested right from the first chapter. I, never in my wildest dreams, would've imagined a plot like this. The originality and imagination is above me. The story could be a movie for all it's worth.Writing: 10/10
Magnifique. The opening chapter was bang on. The first few lines of the first paragraph and I was already won over. The writing, detailing everything is on point. There are a few typos here and there as is with every other book here on Wattpad but it is so minor that you could easily look past it. Sometimes imagination comes easy but to put it into words and to do so perfectly is the most aggravating part. To write a story such as this which has so many crucial points, where a single error could cause the story to turn out differently, I think she deserves accolades. The story includes a few action sequences, each with concepts miles apart from one another. The thing with writing such scenes is, if you do not word it well enough, you can't convey to the reader the exact image you're trying to portray. WRITING an action sequence is more difficult than one perceives it to be. She has done a splendid job with that, so much that I was, at times, quite intimidated while reading it. Brilliant.
Characterization: 10/10
The author has put much effort into each character and it shows. The characters are so unique. Each one has a different personality as they should. They play their individual selves in the story without overpowering the other characters. What I love about this book is that the characters also don't overplay themselves. They stick to their personalities.
The characters are perfect in all sense of the word. If I were to change anything about them, they wouldn't be the same. The story wouldn't be the same.
This isn't a typical love story where they fall in love and are all dreamy about each other. There aren't any "very personal" scenes to portray their love, which has become almost like a requirement in Wattpad romance stories. Even if there are, they are very subtle. Yet the emotions are still all the same. Or may I dare say, more enchanting. I love how the author describes the main characters' relationship that way. It is extremely endearing.
What I also love about the characters is their names. Oh my god. Their names are so amazing.
Cloud. Faith. Eragon. Baron. Rosaline. Tybalt. Alina. Rory. Mia. Wade. Donceiux. Maynor. Alexander. Saya. Dantae. Jayden. Klaus. Hijikata. Malcolm. Holako. Atorius.
Yes! I remember quite a few.
General Comments: The story has a kind of historic feel to it and yet not, which is interesting. The swathe of emotions this story brings forth is unreal. I've read and reread the story tons of times, yet it still seems as intense as the first time I read it. Love this story so much. It's been a while since the author last updated it and I'm waiting with bated breath for her to do so. Beautiful. Amazing. All adjectives related to good, put it in and you'll have Assassin's Bride.HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
