"Dylan, don't!"
The handsome boy laughed and skipped up beside me. His hands left the pocket of his jeans and found their way to my waist, but I immediately stopped his advances by quickening my pace.
"I'm serious, Dyl." I gave him a hard shove backwards. He stumbled into the street, just barely avoiding a passing SUV.
"You're making me mad!"
"Damn, babe," Dylan fake pouted, mockingly putting a hand over his heart. He still thought it was a game.
"I'm not kidding," I turned to face him, a scowl on my face. "Leave me alone, you bastard!"
"Wait, wait, wait," Dylan cut me off. "Is this for real?"
I walked faster.
"What did I even do to make you pissed?" He threw his arms in the air , yelling over the noise of the roaring wind.
I shivered against the cold, but pretended it didn't bother me. If Dylan saw me suffering in the bad weather, he'd run over and wrap his coat around me, and I'd be forced to forgive him.
"You know what you did!" I screamed over the next gust of strong wind. We looked ridiculous, standing out in the freezing cold and screaming at each other from five feet away, but I didn't care.
"No, I really don't!" Dylan yelled back, almost sarcastically. He rolled his eyes and cupped his hands over his mouth to form a megaphone. "Enlighten me!"
"My God, you're so oblivious!" I stomped closer to him. "Don't pretend like you weren't staring at Lisa Mills all day!"
Despite the 8 inch height difference, I thought I still looked pretty threatening to him judging by the way his eyes widened slightly. However, Dylan was a proud man, and I knew he wouldn't be backing down to a fight any time soon.
"So I'm not allowed to even look at other girls anymore?" Dylan shook his head and scoffed. "News flash, we're not even dating!"
I stayed silent for a minute, sizing him up.
Of course it was true we weren't actually dating, but we were definitely a thing, and he knew it. We were exclusive, but not necessarily a couple.
Besides, the only reason I'd stayed interested in him this long was because I thought it'd piss my dad off pretty good.
It hadn't so far.
"News flash," I mocked. "Just because it's not official doesn't mean we're any less of an item!"
"Yes it does!" Dylan said through gritted teeth. "All we even do is make out!"
"Well if you want to keep making out, then you better stop looking at other girls!"
I turned on my heel and strutted away, leaving Dylan in the dust. As suspected, he was begging me for forgiveness in less than a second.
"Wait, Margo," he latched onto my arm. "I'm sorry, forgive me?"
Dylan gripped my hands in his tightly. A look of fear washed over his face, and I had to bite my lip to keep from smirking. Just as I predicted, he'd come crawling back to me.
