Nick's P.O.V
I woke up with a pounding head. I ran to the bathroom letting out all the alcohol I drank last night. I wasn't drunk last night though, I only drank four beers don't know why I'm vomiting.
I grabbed a long cold shower and went downstairs to make myself some breakfast.
Upon reaching the first floor, I recognized the house was a mess. Broken picture frames, bottles, vomit, alcohol cups, condoms, cigarettes and small bits of weed were all laying on the floor.
I ignored the mess and began making my breakfast: Sausage, bacon, egg, bread and a cup of coffee.
"Dawg." I turned to see Michael .
"Yo, didn't know you were still here."
"Yeah? I slept in the guest room. You got work to do though."
"I've got a date tonight with Amelia. "
I added."What time?" Michael asked.
"At seven."
"Where?" He asked.
"I haven't decided yet.."
"I have a very nice place in mind, I don't know if you'd like my idea" Michael helped.
"You've done enough for me already. Thanks for your help though. think I have somewhere in mind."
"Great." Michael yelled, showing no emotion at all.
The front door swung open and mom dashed through the kitchen door.
"Exactly how much people were here?" Mom yelled at me.
"Dunno. Probably the entire school." I said shrugging.
By now, Mom was raging with anger. Dad stood behind her, hands on his hips.
"You know you're going to clean up all this mess?" She ordered me.
I pushed the sandwich into my mouth, and spoke,
"No slut, you are." I yelled, but not angrily.
"How dare you call your mother a slut?" Dad intervened.
"Ugh!" I finished my sandwich and stormed off into my room.
I heard mom And dad calling me, but I continued.
Michael followed behind me.
"Why do you have to treat your mother like that?" He asked.
"I hate her."
"But why?"
I looked at Michael. I felt as if I could trust him. So I began,
"I'm not their own."
"What do you mean, Nick?"
"....i'm adopted."
"What?"
"Victoria isn't my real mother. So does Kethan. They are my adopted parents. My birth mom got pregnant with me at age fourteen. My birth dad was a lot more older, much more, like forty two.....I've been told my mom was treated very badly by my dead grandmother. She could not afford to take care of me so she gave me away. I hate my birth mom for that, and I also hate my adopted mom, for ever agreeing to take me."
"I'm so sorry for that, but things do happen. You should've been happy that you have a family who loves you, I would be happy. I'm sure Victoria loves you. Show her at least one percent respect if you can."
I knew he was right, but respecting Victoria is a very hard task to do.
I sighed heavily.
"Anyway, think of my words, I'm leaving. Have fun on the date." Michael said.
He exit the room and I laid there remembering when my mom gave me away when I was six.
I wondered if she was still alive. I'd be so happy to meet her again, if its even for once. Though, i'm seventeen, I really miss her.
------------------------------
I finished cleaning the house and headed straight for Victoria's room."Victoria..." I said.
She looked up at me from her book that she was reading, and nodded.
I sat on her bed, I sighed heavily,
"I'm sorry. I am so sorry for ever disrespecting you and doing stupid things. It just hurts that my mom would really give me away to a complete stranger. "
Tears stained Victoria's cheeks.
"Oh I had always wanted to hear that. You know I will always love you. "
I looked on the floor.
"Say Mom." She ordered, her eyes pleading.
"............M.....Mom"
She practically jumped out of the bed, pulled me up to her and hugged me. She cried in my chest.
I felt so guilty, I didn't want to cry. The tears did not come anyway.
