Beach day

Michael, Lavene, Amelia and I were at the beach. Amelia and I laid on a towel enjoying the warmth of the sun.

We all looked behind us, to see four police men.

"You both are under arrest for robbery and killing." They said And hurried to handcuff us.

I heard amelia screaming and crying. My heart Pained me.

"No!!! Let me go!! You can't send me to prison! Let me go!" I yelled.

They strongly held my arms and forced us into the police car where joe was sitting too. Lavene and Amelia were sitting on the sand, crying.

I can't believe this.

I walked back and forth in the cell of the police lock up. How is Amelia and my mom going to cope if I go to Prison. Michael was placed in the cell in front of me. I laid on the hard bed thinking of Amelia.

Three weeks later

I sat on the cold floor gazing at the ceiling. The food here was shit. I don't like the fact that they feed us with a cup of cornmeal porridge, and a slice of dry bread. Their rice tastes so mucky and awful. I sighed. Am I really  going to prison?

"Nick.." Someone called breaking me from my thoughts.

I looked up and saw Amelia and mom. I got up and rushed to the bars.

"I'm so sorry" I said to them.

"We know. We're here to bail you out or else you would've spent one year in juvenile prison, then thirty five years in Adult prison. I have to pay a million dollars but its okay, your dad found the money." Mom added.

She went away to pay the debt. I stared at Amelia who was crying. I hate to see her like that.

"Everything will be okay." She said.

"What about Michael?"

"Your mother is bailing him as well. Joe will live in prison." She answered.

Two officers opened our gates and Michael and I were carried to our separate homes by mom. Amelia came to my house.

"Thanks mom." I said hugging her.

"Make sure you don't do this foolishness again." She said sternly.

"I know I'm sorry" I truthfully apologized.

"How could you find time to commit all these crimes when you're always home? I can't believe you would go out and kill. Son, I'm very hurt and disappointed." She carried on.

I bowed my head sadly.

"I have work, see you guys later." She said and went through the door.

I turned to Amelia and in hugged her tightly, resting my chin on her hair, breathing in the shampoo odor. I've missed her so much.

I lifted her up and carried her to my room.

I threw her on the bed, then laid beside her.

"I've missed you." She said

"Me too." I added.

She stared at my lips.
