Friends?

Micam's POV

Palon is actually pretty funny. So apparently I'm like, half demon? She explained to me everything she could about her, my powers, and The Shadows. So, The Shadows is a group of half demons trying to bring awareness to humans. Since they treat us like monsters, they want a change. They've been around for centuries and have had made no progress, but they believe that since I am the most powerful half demon that has ever lived, I can help them even more. I actually liked that idea, even though I am an antisocial piece of trash and I may not help as much as I could...but I will try my best.

Palon also said that once we get there, they'll initiate me, and explain how everything works before we actually start helping the world. She says that Zalzor is one of the few half demons who want to use their powers for mostly bad, but that the leader is taking care of it. The leader seems nice. Palon said she is actually one of the youngest half demons in human years, but she is very powerful and the best leader they have ever had in a long time. I am actually excited to get there, despite the fact Zalzor was an asshole. Pardon my French by the way.

So with half demons, they each have one main power, and three sub-powers. If one has more than three sub-powers, it is very rare and they are powerful. There is also some kind of weird age thing. It's very complicated, but I think I got it somewhat. So, take your human age, subtracted it by the age you discovered your powers, then multiply it by two if you are in training, by ten if you are a full member, by 32 if you are second in command, by 53 if you are first in command, and 67 if you are the leader. Palon said she was 30 in half demon years, she's fourteen in human years. She said the reason they do that is so that they can feel like real demons who can live for forever, since we are half human, our average death age is about 150.

"We're almost there," Palon said as we stopped. "What the hell is going on over there?" We came up to this weird scene. There was a body on the ground, a body trying to move, two people who looked like they were just fighting, and some lady standing behind them. It was not a pleasant sight, that one guy on the ground does not look good, even from this far away. "We should probably go, Micam..."

"Yeah..." I responded. I hope they are alright, whoever it is. It's none of my business, I had someplace to go, but i'll come back later if I can. Palon led me through this one tunnel in the forest, The Shadows have secret tunnel only half demons can see. They have the ones who can create illusions make the mirage of a tree or whatever, and the ones with nature powers to make the forest and tunnels. There was a faint noise at the end of the tunnel, it got louder and louder as Palon and I got closer to it. I could feel it, my time has come where I could be myself.

Nathan's POV

I turn to see this woman with her hand extended towards me.

"Nobody shall move," she boomed. "Latis! What are you doing? We need to keep humans alive, that is one penalty, my cadet. No free time tonight and you are to go to Asleri and explain to her your mistakes."

"Yes, Kaizia," he grumbled.

"What was that? You speak to your mentor with the utmost respect. I have not raised you this way, Latis. I do not want this to happen again, do you understand me?"

"Yes, Kaizia," he said louder than before and disappeared into the forest. Then, Kaizia turned to me.

"My apologizes, young human," she said, putting her hands together. Kaizia had a dark green eye, her right eye had an eye patch and a wicked scar across that side of her face. She had dirty blonde hair that was in a braid down her back. She also had one really wavy strand of hair going down the middle of her face. "Latis is my cadet, he has not been with us long, he is still learning."

"B-But he just!" I spat. "He k-killed one of my best friends! And you just let him off like that?!"

"Silence!" she raised her hand once more to me. "You are not to question my teachings to my cadet. I am the higher species, human. I have more power than you. Come, we will take care of your friend, for you. As an apology, I will show you to our hideout and give you some rest. You look very tired, your other soul will follow soon enough. Even in human form he cannot leave you for a certain distance as he will come right back to your body. That is very painful for him."

"NO!" I shouted. "One of your kind killed one of my best friends, and another one killed my other best friend! Why should I trust you?!"

"You keep calling them your best friends," Kaizia smirked. "Tommy never considered you a best friend, she loved Micam, you were a nuisance to her. As for Micam, he only went to you because he was an outsider. Once he gained confidence, he did not need you anymore. Haven't you noticed? He has been trying to get rid of you for years."

I didn't have a chance to question it, my mind became clouded and I couldn't think straight. After a few seconds, my mind cleared. Kaizia was right...Tommy has been looking at Micam different the past few years...and Micam hasn't been talking a lot to me anymore. I'm glad she cleared that up for me, I don't need them.

"Hey, Kaizia?" I said quietly.

"Yes, Nathan?" she responded.

"I-I think we should just leave Tommy here."

"Is that so?" she smirked. "And why ever the reason?"

"You're right. They aren't my friends, and they never have been. We should just leave her, Micam can find her...or whatever."

"Well then, if you believe we should leaver her be, then her we will leave. You need some rest, dear child. Let us go."

Seon's POV

I couldn't move. But heard everything, I can't communicate with Nathan telepathically anymore. I don't know why, I wasn't faced in that direction, so I couldn't see them. But I was feeling a tug. I had to get back to Nathan, or it will be that last you see of me.

Damn you writer, why the hell did you make me like this?

Sorry for not posting last weekend! I was sick and had loads of schoolwork. I am still sick, but I'm a bit better now!!! I hope you all like the chapter!!! Who else is hyped for HALLOWEEEEEENNNN?!?! I'm going as Nepeta from Homestuck, what about you guys??
