I kept a wide birth from Jason as we navigated the bustling uni halls. The cafeteria was buzzing as he pushed opened the door and-

"Ouch!" I exclaim, lifting a hand to my nose as I push the door off of my face. Jason glances over his shoulder and let's out a bark of laughter. "Jerk." I grind my teeth and mutter.

He grins cheekily. "Play nice little genie, I've not tested the extent of control wish one has over you, but I'd love to find out." The threat hangs in the air and I flip him off once his back is turned. He carries on walking as I scan the area for Mathew.

A blonde head bobs out of the crowd and waves me over. I head towards his table when cool slender fingers wrap around my wrist. A side glance confirms it's Jason. He eases into stride with me as we stop in front of my newest friend.

"So I take it this is Jason?" He notes the grip on my wrist and nods casually at the guy; who fixes a steely glare in return. "I get it now," he raises a brow and nods as if thinking hard.

"Get what?" Jason asks, throwing a curious glance between us.

"Oh nothing," Mathew shrugs and winks at me when Jason's not looking. I grin as the paranoia sets in.

"What the hell - you've been talking behind my back?" He asks quietly. I give him a dead look and focus on Mathew instead.

"Anything good going at lunch?" I pull out the chair and sit down., Jason sliding in next to me.

He chucks a chip into his mouth and nods. "It's actually decent here, there's a pretty mean lasagne going today and chips - of course."

I steal a particularly crispy chip from his plate and he bats my hand in jest. "Get your own freeloader!"

I poke my tongue out and bite down on the fried potaoey goodness. Mmm...

I can feel  Jason's eyes burn into the side of my head so I turn irritably to him and raise a brow in question. The chip hanging out of my mouth like a fried vegetable tongue.

"You know you moan pretty loud when you eat?" He says. Watching me nibble on another chip. I almost choke on it, feeling my face heat up. My blood pressure spikes too. There's no time to respond with a mouth crammed with food and I resolve to grab another from Mathew and bite down on it; not trusting myself to leave opportunity to speak. Suddenly Jason leans in and I almost jump with surprise. He glances down at my mouth, chip hanging out, and he tilts his head sideways before closing in.

Good lord-

I forget how to breathe as his lips part and close around the end of my chip. Nom. He nibbles forward. Nom, nom, nom. Until our faces stand only millimetres apart. Lady and the Tramp style. But minus the spaghetti and meatballs. His golden swirled gaze catches mine and a wicked smirk crosses his lips before he breaks off his end and leans back.

"Mm," he contemplates, "these are good."

Mathew chokes on his drink as he digests what he just saw. I'm still sitting frigid, frozen to the spot with the fluffy potato chip end just about poking out from my lips - bitten off and left for me to finish.
