Part 16

I feel something warm and wet hit my face which makes my eyes flutter open. I look up to see Evan leaning over me, tears on his face.

"E-Evan?" I ask as I blink again. He looks up and sees that I am awake. In seconds I am engulfed in his arm as he hugs making it hard for me to breathe.

"Evan, I-I can't breathe," I said in a high pitched voice. He loosened his hug a bit but didn't let go.

"You're acting like I was dead for a year," I said quietly. He pulls away slowly like he didn't want to.

"You were asleep for 2 months Luna, we don't know what exactly caused it but we did find a dart of some kind in your neck. It looked like it inserted you with something and we think it was a poison of some sort," Evan said. I nod before I grab onto the metal on the side of the bed to help lift me up. When I felt the bar get smaller I let go only to see that the metal was bent to fit against my fingers.

"Oh god, oh my god," I freak as I cover my eyes with my palms.

"Wha, oh shit," Evan barks out.

"It was a serum," we both say at the same time. I bring my hands down as I look over at Evan, staring at him.

"Im like a human hulk, I-I shouldn't have this power," I said as I go to stand up but I get dizzy and lean slightly. Evan grabs and holds onto my arm to keep me steady. I hear a door open somewhere in the building letting me know that Evan wasn't the only one to be home. I head over to the door and slightly open it. Evan was still holding me up as we walked out. We make it into the living room where I see Del, Lui and Mini were all sitting down on the couch watching the TV all with worrisome faces.

"Hey guys," I said. With the sound of my voice all three heads turned immediately and I was crushed in a huff instantly.

"Not too tight," I said. The all let go but they all looked like they wanted to hug me to death. I give a slight smile but it turns into a frown once again.

"Whats wrong?": Del asks. I give off a sigh. Looking around i find a baseball bat. I reach down and pick it up. I hold the thick end and squeeze it lightly, causing it to bend like it was a wet noodle.

"What the hell," Mini says.

"The thing that caused me to sleep for 2 months was because I was injected by a serum," I explained sadly.

"So you are like a human hulk?" Lui asks. I slowly nod my head.

"But I don't want it, I want this power out of me. I could easily hurt, wait no, kill you guys if I get to upset a-and I would forgive myself i-if something d-did happen," I said as I look down, my eyes watering up.

"Do you remember anything about the serums when you were little. Was there anything to change or get rid of a serum?" Del asks. I think about it before I feel a slight pain in my head.

~Flash back~

"Daddy Daddy Daddy!" I yell as 5 year old me runs into my fathers lab. He turns around and pulls me into a hug.

"What are we gonna do today?" I ask.

"Were gonna try this new candy I came across," he says, giving me a gummy bear coated with something purple. I eat it and I immediately feel a pain in my head causing my 5 year old me scream in pain. I watch in pain as my father mixes two things together. The seeds of a pomegranate seed and a few mint leaves before burning it in a pot of water. He quickly puts it in a stove, adding ice cubes to cool it quicker before he hands it to me. I quickly drink it without feeling the burning sensation from the just made hot drink. I instantly start to feel better, that is until I got a bad feeling in my stomach and puke out the serum along with the pomegranate seeds.

~End Of Flashback~

"Pomegranate seeds and mint leaves," I said quietly. They all had weird looks on their faces as they process what I said.

"That's a weird combination," Del says and I just shrug as I think about it.

"Well me and Lui will go find those two things," Mini says before leaving. Evan helps me over to the couch and I sit down, Evan joining the seat next to me.

"Where are the others?" I ask as I look over at Evan, confusion evident in my voice and my brain.

"Wildcat is somewhere around here, hes only here because Mini wouldn't leave you without saying bye. Nogla got rejected by Lui because Lui couldn't handle something at the moment so he left and the others went home which isn't that far away," Evan said. I nod my head before a yogurt was placed in front of me. My mouth waters at the food and I take it along with a spoon and start eating it. I hear someone laugh and I look over to find Del was the one laughing. I just glare at him.

"So am I gonna know actual names now, I've been with you guys for like 2 months before and 2 months asleep," I said.

"I can tell you mine since everyone decided to wait to tell you on their own terms," Del says.

"Ooooh, mystery boy first," I said before I give off a small laugh.

"Names Jonathan, Jonathan Denis. Pleasure to make your acquaintance," he says making me give off a small laugh.

"Nice to meet you Jonathan. But I do have a confession to make," I said.

"What is it?" Evan asks.

"Everyone called me Luna all the time that it became natural to be my name but its not. My real and full name is Cassy Euclea," I said as I put my hand on the back of my neck.

"That's such a pretty name," Evan says and my face heats up as I look down.

"But why did everyone call you Luna?" Del asks.

"Zero forced me to have a code-name and so me and my mom chose the name of the moon," I said as I stayed looking down. I hear him give an oh sound. I nod my head before I let out a yawn. I may have been asleep for a while. Del turns on the TV and turns on to a channel before a flying man appears on the screen.

"Ooh, Peter Pans on," Del says as he watches it.

"Who's Peter Pan?" I ask and I heard Del gasp.

"Only the greatest young boy ever, the child you doesn't grow up," Del explains. I keep my eyes on the screen to see him saving a girl in a blue dress from free falling in the sky. I yawn again as I keep my eyes on the bright colored TV. My head slowly falls to the right as my eyes slowly close. The last thing I remember is Wendy falling off the plank and the Lost Boys yelling for her.

Evan-

I feel something on my shoulder so I look over to see that Luna had her head on my shoulder while watching the movie. I give off a small smile before I yawn. I lean my head back as I continue watching the movie until my head slowly falls to the left as my own eyes lids close.
