I wish things were different

Connor's P.O.V

Mia and Brad came down and Brad started rooting around for something,

"What's he looking for?" I asked Mia

"The tape?" She asked giving me an unsure look on if I knew what she was talking about

"Ah" I nodded, "Brad it's in our room"

"Oh, where did I put it in there?" He questioned

"I'll come help you, will you be ok?" I asked Tris and Mia, they both nodded and as we walked out I hard Tris talking to her, trying to make her feel a bit better

"I really need to clean" Brad mumbled as we walked in

"Yes you do!" I laughed, "The SD cards in here" I pointed to a draw

"Thanks" Brad said as he walked over to it getting it out

"Brad, are you sure you want to show her now?" I asked worry about how she'll react

"She asked to see it" he said biting his lip

"Well, I guess there's never going to be a right time" I sighed and he nodded

"Let's get this over with" he mumbled as we plodded back down the stairs. Brad put the SD card in the laptop and loaded up the video.

"Here goes" Tris mumbled so only I could hear as Brad pressed play. As Mia watched the tape her eyes went wide and even started to tear up... She didn't day any thing once it finished and there was a long silence...

"When was this?" She finally spoke

"About a week ago" Brad said

"What... It wasn't Theo was it? I mean the one trying to hurt you" she said as tears started to slowly fall down her face

"I'm really sorry Mia" Brad said giving her a sad look and that was it. She got up and walked upstairs,

"Mia" Brad called after her

"Brad no" I said stopping him, "Let me go?"

"Just make sure she's ok" He said running a hand through his hair and I nodded. I ran up the stairs taking them two at a time. I pushed the door open slowly,

"Brad please, I just need to think about.." She started and then looked up and saw me

"I know you probably don't want to talk to anyone right now" I said walking in

"I just need to take in what I just saw" She said and I could tell she was trying not to cry again

"I know, it's a lot to take in, I'm sorry you had to find out this way but we just don't want him to hurt you" I said and she looked down at her arm and placed a hand on it

"He wouldn't" She said, "At least not on purpose" she mumbled the last part so I wouldn't hear it but I did just about

"Mia what's he done to you?" I asked moving over to the bed she was sat on

"Nothing! I promise" She said quickly, I knew she wasn't telling me something but I don't want to drag it out of her now

"Ok" I mumbled, "What are you going to do?"

"What do you mean?" She asked

"Well, you're not going to stay with him are you?" I asked slowly

"Look I know you all think he's bad news but I need to talk to him, let him explain himself, I love him" She said

"Really?" I asked and then clamped my hand over my mouth, "I'm so sorry I didn't mean that"

"No it's fine, I think I do" She mumbled unsurely
