You decide to ignore her.

You walk past the child, accidentally brushing her shoulder as you walked past.

She didn't move, flinch, or react whatsoever.

You kept walking, heading towards your house.

You heard a laugh from behind you. You turn around to face it.

The girl had the biggest smile on her face, one eye was missing and black ooze dripped from the socket. It didn't hit the ground, though. It stopped in mid air, and formed into a corporeal body. The black ooze formed. It stood eight feet tall, the only features on it's so called face that stood out, was the wide, white eyes, and a wider, white mouth. It's body split in half, making a taller, white image of itself. It's eyes and mouth were back, and had large black gashed crossing it's body. They both had a crown of horns. The horns seemed to ooze out of place, forming and malforming in a pattern-like movement.

You took a step back, turning to run. You took off. You ran as fast as you could.

For a minute there, you thought you were safe. You looked behind you, although you were sure you had lost them.

You were wrong.

The two things were running at you. The girl was sitting on the black one's shoulders. She had her hands in the air, as if she was riding a roller coaster. She giggled and laughed in happiness.

For a minute there, You forgot that you were being chased. You turned back around, and kept running. You skidded around a corner, and ran into someone. You pushed off of them, not bothering to say 'sorry' or 'excuse me'. They grabbed your wrist, and yanked you towards them. You looked up at it.

It was the white creature. It had a wicked smirk on its face. It looked you dead in the eyes. Your eyes were filled with horror. It's eyes was filled with the passion of killing.

You felt it's grip on you tighten. You wrapped your hands around it's, to try to get it to unhand you.

You felt tears stream down your face.

You coughed out blood, as you felt it rip open your stomach, blood splattering on the ground, as it dropped your lifeless body on the street, dropping your intestines beside you.

You felt like you were going to puke, but you didn't.

Wait. Why did you feel anything in the first place?

You looked down at yourself, to see yourself look see through, transparent.

A look of confusion settled on your face. You heard a small giggle from behind you. You turned around to see the girl. She had jumped off of the creature's shoulders, and now was standing beside it, holding it's hand.

"Why am I not dead?" You asked. She giggled.

"Well, when a shadow kills you, you don't feel yourself seperate from your body. If I was to kill you, you would see black. But, to answer your question, me and my creatures have a special ability. Whoever we kill, become one of us. Me, being the original and one who created these wonderful beings, have flaws in my ability. Although, I have perfected it so that there is no blacking out side effects in my 'children'," She said. Her voice sounded proud.

Another question popped into your head.

"What am I, now?" You asked. She giggled.

"One of us, of course," She said.
