Chapter 3: Illness

"GUYS! THIS GIRL IS UNDER MY CARE. YOU DARE TO TOUCH HER, THEN YOUR LIFE IN ON THE LINE!" Eun Tae said. Which all the guys cowered. Is he some type of leader or something?

Bum Jae nudged me, "That's great now you will be in no harm. Since no one dared to mess with Vasco." Bum Jae said looking proud

"Did you just say Vasco?" 

He nodded, "Lee Eun Tae famous knows as Vasco. Burn Knuckle's leader and strongest in this dept."

Oh my god!

"Now now, Vasco is a good person. You can take my seat next to him for protection." He pushed me gently from behind and to a seat which is right next to Vasco. Vasco was already settled down, his arms were on his chest and he is glaring at the whiteboard. "He is always like that. Don't worry but he is real nice." Bum Jae said. I sat down on the seat. Bum Jae settled on the seat behind me. Nervously, she sat next to him. Fiddling the pen she taken out from her pencil case.

First class, Maths. The teacher made her do an introduction. She stood up and stood by the whiteboard.

"Hello, I am Lee Jin-Soo. I transferred here after studying in Australia for two years." A few wows can be heard. "Um, the reason I picked this major is because I like that I can becreative about what I want to make." She shyly said, "Please takecare of me this year." 

Jin-Soo gave them a sweet smile that reveals her perfectly white linedteeth. Bum Jae was smiling for ear to ear. Well, this is exciting. Never thought the day Vasco sit with a girl comes, he thought while looking at Jin Soo who is now on her seat. 

    Vasco and Jin-Soo totally make a cute couple, the gentle and the rough,he thought. As one thought about the newly-made chairmates, meanwhile someone's heart just beats as if got hit by cupid's arrow. That person is no other than Vasco, who is having an internal battle about what he was feeling just now. 

"Eun-Tae? The teacher is calling for your name." He blinks. Jin Soo was looking at him expectantly. He looks ahead, the bald headed teacher which his name seems blurry in his mind even though he has been teaching the class for the last three years. "Lee Eun Tae, what type of woods suited for a cabin?" 

"Dark wood, warm but cool at the same time." He answered in a gruff.

"Good. Now please stop staring at Park Jin Sooand listen to my lesson." The bald teacher said as he turn back to the board.

 The guys snickered and chuckled. Vasco glanced at his new seat mate. Her cheeks were slightly pink, as she tried to hide itwith her mid back brown hair. It's weird being able to see a girl up close. After all, girls avoid him because of how scary he looks and he never has girlfriend for 18 years of his life. Even sitting with a girl is a new experience for him. What is this feeling? he thought as he touched his chest. 

My heart is beating so rapidly, I must be ill, he concluded. 

Yes, I must be because this odd feeling won't go away and it bothers me, Vasco thought. 

He looks at her again, Are all girls pretty like her? Pretty doesn't even cover it, she is beautiful. 

This is odd, he shook his head. Bum Jae just look at him from behind.

"Somebody is having an internal battle." he whispered lowly but Vasco and his sharp hearing heard him and turn around.

"What?"

"Nothing. Pay attention, Vasco." Bum Jae said while half chuckling.
