Louis woke up that morning way to early for his liking. He woke up to a large arm slung over his waist and hot breath against the back of his neck. He wanted to enjoy this so much, though he couldn't enjoy it through the muffled sobs coming from down the hall. He snuck out of his room, praying that he hadn't woke up Harry, and made his way down the hall checking on his sisters before entering his mum's room. Instead of seeing his mum in her bed he was faced with an empty room and an untouched room. Louis made his way downstairs and saw his mum standing over the kitchen sink staring out the window. 'Mum what's the time, have you even slept?'
'Sorry Lou, I didn't mean to wake you. No I couldn't fall asleep.' Louis just sighed, he has done this one too many times, and although he felt so very sorry for his mum, he was becoming sick of it.
'Do you want me to come and lie in bed with you?'
'No, I don't want to sleep. I was thinking of going shopping, we don't have any groceries, and I think I need some new clothes.'
'Are you sure?' Louis was confused; normally his mum wouldn't get out of bed for at least another three and a half days.
'Yeh, oh hello, who are you?' Louis turned around and saw Harry standing in the door frame. Harry had woken up and was worried about what had happened to Louis so he made his way through the house and down to the kitchen, the only place he was aware of, once he had found Louis speaking to his mum he tried to sneak out unnoticed, but clearly that wasn't something he was good at.
'Oh mum, this is Harry, Harry this is my mum Johannah.'
'No no, call me Jay.'
'I'm so sorry to interrupt; it's so nice to meet you Jay.' Harry smiled at Jay and continued to stand awkwardly in the doorway before he made his way in further to stand next to Louis.
'So what are you planning to do until the shops open mum?'
'I do not know, throw out some stuff in my bedroom I guess, just keep myself busy. What are your plans for the day?' Jay looked between the two boys, she has never met any of Louis's boyfriends before, maybe it had something to do with the fact that she didn't know Louis was gay. It's not that Louis didn't trust his mum, he just wasn't sure of how to bring it up to her, or if she would be supportive.
'Well I was thinking I was going to have to stay here and take care of the girls?'
'Oh no no, I'll be taking them with me today, I think it would be good to have their company.' Louis had never seen his mum bounce back this fast from a break up.
'That's fine, I won't complain, well then I think there's a party on tonight that I'm going to. I might go and get some more sleep. Are you alright?'
'Yeh I'm fine Lou. If I don't see you, enjoy your night yeh? And it was lovely to meet you Harry.'
'Yeh okay, if you need anything just call' Louis pushed Harry out of the kitchen and they made their way back upstairs.
'That was super weird' Louis made his way back to his bed to lay down.
'It's good though isn't it? That she isn't, you know, crying, or like putting it all on you?'
'I don't know maybe it hasn't hit her yet or something.' Harry lay down next to Louis. 'Hazz'
'Yeh Lou?'
'My mum doesn't know I'm gay'
'Oh' Harry leaned across to kiss Louis. He didn't know what Louis was trying to say or what he wanted Harry to say, but he couldn't imagine going his life without Maura and Niall knowing he was gay. You should feel safe and supported at home, and Harry wanted Louis to feel that way.
