The Red String of Fate

There is a Japanese legend about the red string of fate. I read this article from Brightside that two people are connected by the red string that is tied around the little finger and bound together by Fate itself. Sooner or later, they are destined to meet, no matter how far apart they live or how much their life circumstances differ. And, when it happens — that encounter is certain to profoundly affect both of them. The strings can sometimes stretch and become tangled, which could postpone the fateful meeting. But — those ties will never be broken.

I believe in this legend with all my heart. And then its starting to work in my life..

Yurika fetch me from my apartment and we went together to the party

"I'm going to introduce you to my cousin"

"Okay" I smile at her

Yurika's house is like a picture from an interior magazine, I can't help but be amaze by it. I'm starting to be a fan of the architect who design the house

Its a small family gathering and everyone is busy when we arrive

"Yurika.." I held her hand, I look so nervous 

"My family is nice, they know you so don't worry" she assure me

Yurika introduce me to her family and they welcome with a smile, I started to feel comfortable when I feel the warmth in Yurika's family

"There is my cousin" Yurika giggled and she drag me to come with her

I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw him

"He is your cousin???" I whisper 

"Yup" Yurika wink at me

"Why you didn't tell me!!" 

"I'm telling you now" she looks like a small girl teasing her friend

"Cousin (I can't put his name, we are secretly married remember:)) I want you to meet my friend, Jinyi, Jinyi my cousin" 

He look at me and smile

"Hello" I don't know if he hears it

"Hello again" he remembers me????? Okay don't think too much and relax Jinyi, relax..

And then my phone rings, I want the earth to swallow me whole because I certainly know that he sees my wallpaper!!! 

"Excuse me" I calm myself and slowly walk away and after a few step I immediately run to nowhere

"Open up and swallow me" I talk to the ground and stomp my feet

My phone keeps ringing and then I realize that its Yurika, she knows that my wallpaper is her cousin!!!

"Jinyi" she appears in front of me

"I hate you" 

"Come on lets eat" she is so insensitive

"You are so insensitive!" I really need to voice it out

"Don't be mad and I really like you for your Prince Charming, I mean my cousin" she is teasing me again

I've been telling Yurika about how I hide his cousin, how he gives me his handkerchief and how I think that he is my Prince Charming. I want to vanish from the universe!!!

"Time to eat girls" calls Yurika's mom, I don't have a choice but to pretend that I am calm until the dinner party is over. 

Yurika really plans everything because I am now sitting next to my Prince Charming, I mean his cousin

The food is so delicious but its really hard for me to eat, I am so conscious every time I move 

I secretly glare at Yurika using my 'you want to die' look

She just smile at me

"I'm glad you are wearing a pretty dress and your make up looks good on you" she whisper and eat happily again

"Sheesshh" I says it under my breath

"I didn't see your wallpaper earlier" I froze when he said that, they are really cousins!! No wonder! I'm their target for today, and this will never happen again

I pretend that I din't hear him and just continue to eat

My breathing started to go back to normal after the dinner, I can now finally go home and hide under my bed because of total  embarrassment

"My cousin will send you home" Yurika smile sweetly

"YURIKA!!" I can't take it anymore!!

"Okay okay, I will come too" 

"Stop playing with me, I know my place, he is an actor and 6 million people follows him in instagram, so stop teasing me okay"

"You follow him in instagram" my gosh Yurika that's the only word that register in her mind

"Just send me home Yurika or I can take a taxi or walk"

"Lets go" he suddenly appear

"Or lets go with my cousin" said Yurika

I am seating at the back and the duo cousins are talking about their grandmother

"Finally" I smile when we reach my apartment building

"Thank you so much!" I sound so happy because my freedom has come "See you in school Yurika!" I move fast to go down the car and run inside the apartment building

I feel my heart after I close the door, I also look at my pinky finger and imagine a red string tied around it

"He is Yurika's cousin.." I look at my wallpaper and squeal like a fan girl
