I decided to wear the dress that I feel comfortable for my arrange date, at first I am planning to wear the prettiest dress that I have but suddenly I change my mind. This will probably be the last time that I will see him. He needs to go back to his hometown for the project that he needs to finish. He only stays here in this foreign country for his photo shoot and also to visit his relatives.
Yurika gave me the name of the restaurant and the time that we have to meet. I arrive in the restaurant 30 minutes earlier before the exact time. The restaurant staff asks me to follow her in a VIP room.
This is my first experience to eat in a VIP room, yeah our world is too different, he is a public figure and he can't just eat anywhere even though this is not his home country a lot of people will still recognize him
I am so nervous while waiting, especially during 5 minutes before our meeting time.
And then 5 minutes after our meeting time, he is still not here..
30 minutes has passed
And now an hour of waiting
The waitress is always checking me if I need anything, now I'm worried if I need to pay the reservation of the room since I didn't even order a food and I'm always asking for water
However, I do not want to go yet, he is a very busy person so I understand that maybe something urgent came up or he is in a meeting or maybe they are still doing a project
My battery is almost empty because I'm playing with the bubble game while waiting
"Hey"
I froze when he enter the room
"Hey" the only word that I can say back
"I'm sorry, work" he sits down
"I understand" I genuinely smile
"So let's eat"
It is strange that we have a comfortable conversation, we talk about this foreign place, work, school, music, movie, the food that we are eating. We have a good laugh too every time something funny came up
"Excuse me" the waiter came in "Just a reminder, 30 minutes and we are going to close"
"What time is it?" he looks at his watch "Oopps almost midnight"
I wait for him outside the restaurant while he pays
"I will drive you home" he stands up beside me
"Thank you"
I like the song that is playing in his car stereo, I hum with the music with my low volume voice while looking outside
"We are here" he stops the car in front of my apartment
"Thank you for today" I remove my seatbelt
"I'm going back to my country tomorrow" he said
"Bon voyage and goodbye" I am too shy to look at him
"Goodbye? Why goodbye?" he ask, I look at him for awhile
"Keep in touch okay?"
"Okay" I answer
"Give me your phone"
I watch him as he dial a number, his phone rings
"There that is my number" he smile
"Goodnight" I ran out of word to say
"Goodnight"
I open the car and stand up to watch him go, I wave at him and watch the car vanish from my sight
"Keep in touch" I giggled as I remember what he says
Wow I never thought that everything will turn out this way, what if I leave the restaurant when he didn't arrive on time, what if I choose to do this than that. Most of the time you just have to be patient and be bold at the same time, you never know what surprises life has to offer. So don't give up just keep swimming by Dory :)
