Sophia's POV

Why is he making me feel this way? I have been around so many guys before and I have never felt like this . Is it because I have a tiny crush on him? No I can't have a crush on him. It is not possible. I think this as Adam drives us to the nearest local ice cream shop, which is the first one that I have been to since I arrived here. It also is one of the best ice creams shops around here. It's call Daisies ice cream shop. The owners name is not Daisy, it's Jessamine. The shop was her great-great-great-grandmothers.. I know this because I am friends with Jessamine. She was so nice when I first walked in and showed me the best ice cream that I have ever tasted. It was beyond delicious.

When I felt the car stop I looked over at Adam to see that he Parked the car at the ice cream shop. After the little staring Adam and I went out of the car and walked into the shop.
As I walked into the shop I noticed that there was a lot of older men and women in the shop enjoying their ice cream as they talked amongst themselves. I wished that I could be like them. Having a loving realationship. I knew that wouldn't happen anytime soon though. Who would want to date a tomboy who was on the baseball team. Most of the guys on the team hated me. Idon't know what I did. Aaron and Adam are the only guys on the team that are nice to me and actually talk to me.

Adam and I them walk up to the ocunter. I greet Jessamine and placed my order. I ordered my usual. My usual is vanilla and coffee ice cream with cookie crumble I top. It literally is the best. Adam orders the same thing as me. We then walk over to a table and sit. There's and awkward silent as we sit.

"So, Adam, why did you want to skip?" I asked, curious to why he would skip with me. He looked over at me and smirked,

"Why did you skip?" He asked,

"Even though I asked first, I skipped because I didn't want to go to class and you were the one who asked me to skip. I didn't want to pass up the opportunity, and you probably would have called me a chicken." I said while looking at the wall beside him.

"Oh, well, I skipped because well I wan-" He was interrupted by Jessamine.

"Sophia and Adam! Order up!" She yelled. I was pretty excited to get my ice cream. Lunch at the school was gross. Sometimes I think that the food there isn't edible. The only think that's good is the pizza and the fries. I thank her before she walks away.

"So you were saying?" I say to Adam as I dig into my delish ice cream.

"I wanted to spend time with you." He looked at me.I did not know what to say. Does that mean he likes me? I look at him and smile.

"What." I still don't know what to say. Oh my goodness gracianious. I don't even know anymore. Like wat. Apples.

He looks over at me,

"I wanted to spend time with you. you seem like an amazing girl. I mean at first I was a little upset that you made varsity baseball, but then you grew to me. you are in like everyone of my classes so yeah. You also might not think it but I think that the team will love you by the end of the season." he looks me in the eyes and shoes me a big grin. Again I am speechless. My phone interrupts us.

"Hello?" I answer. I didn't bother to read the caller id, so I have no clue who is calling.

"Soap, where are you practice starts in ten minutes." Ryan said. I look at Adam with my eye wide. I mouth to him, "Ryan says that practice starts in ten"

"Fuck" Adam says out loud. A few of the older women and men look over at us.

"Sorry, I'll be there soon."

"You better be sorry. dad looks pissed as hell."

"Well I don't even know what I did douche" I reply.
