Liam's POV

I carry Ryver to the bedroom and set her gently on the bed. She is covered in blood and bruises. I feel so damn guilty. If only I haven't locked her in that room, maybe they couldn't have gotten her. "Stop, I can't read your mind, but I can read your face. This isn't your fault, stop blaming yourself. I am ok, safe and alive."  I look into her icy blue eyes, "You are safe now, but look at what all has happened. I feel like maybe I could have stopped it." She cupped my cheek, "It had to happen this way, don't beat yourself up over it." I sigh and lean into her touch. "I am going to run you a bath." She nods and I go fill the tub. I play her story over in mind, they hurt her so badly. It makes me sick. I could have had her and her first experience would have been one of love, but I had to be an asshole and push her away because of my own fear. Shit, I am so stupid. My poor Princess.

I look up and see her standing in the doorway. She smiles at me, but it doesn't reach her eyes. Her eyes look tormented. It breaks my heart. "Come here, love. Your bath is ready." She nods and steps into the bathroom. I start to leave but she grabs my arm. "I am serious, Liam. Don't blame yourself, this isn't your fault, you were trying to protect me. I love you." My eyes meet hers and I see the love there. "I love you too, Princess. I will be right out here if you need me." She nods and closes the door behind me. I hear a small splash a few seconds later and gather her some clothes. I sit on the edge of the bed and then I hear her softly sobbing, it breaks my heart.

I knock on the door,"Princess? Are you ok?" She doesn't answer, so I open the door and see her face buried in her hands and her body shaking with her sobs. I kneel next to her and start to clean her hair. she lifts her head and looks at me, completely broken. I didn't even realize that I was crying until she wiped a tear from my face. "Please don't cry for me. I have cried enough." She whispers. I help her finish getting clean and train the tub. She stands so that I can turn on the shower to rinse her off. I see all the bruising and white hot anger blazes through my veins. She finishes and I wrap her in a towel, leading her back into the bedroom. She dries and dresses. I find a brush in the bathroom and brush out her hair, gently and braid it quickly. She turns and softly smiles at me. "Thank you for helping me." I return her smile. "I want to help you, to take care of you, forever, Princess. You are my beloved, and even though I royally screwed up, I hope that you let me make it up to you. I love you so much that it hurts. I can't even tell you how sorry I am for all that I have put you through." She cups my cheek, "Liam, we have to move past it. What's done is done, all we can do is move forward. We are both going to make mistakes, hurt each other, but as long as we love each other, we can work through it." I couldn't help it, I kissed her.

She weaves her arms around my neck and kisses me back like she needs me to breathe. I don't want to push her after everything, so I pull back and look at her. Her smile is brighter and reaches her eyes. "Lay down and sleep, you need to rest. Afterwards, we will get you some blood and food." I tell her softly. "Only if you lay with me, I don't want to be alone." I nod and we lay back on the bed. She curls up and lays her hand on my chest, but doesn't cuddle. I am not sure she can at this point. I won't push her, I can't even imagine what she has been through. Soon, she is breathing deeply, she is asleep. I lay there for a few more minutes, but I have to talk to Luke and Trevor, she is going to need blood and medical treatment. If her bones aren't set right, they won't heal right. I gently slip out of bed and with one last look at my sleeping princess, I head downstairs.

I find Luke in the kitchen, big shock there, wolves eat all the time. "Hey, how is she?" He asks, voice laced with concern. I shake my head, "They really did a number on her. Her whole body is covered in bruises and she has at least a few broken bones. They are going to have to set them before they heal, but she is going need to get some rest and blood first. Then some food, she is pretty weak." He looks at me for a hard second, "Don't blame yourself, dude, you were doing what you thought was best." I shake my head, "That is what she told me too, but I can't help it. If I hadn't locked her in that room-" He cuts me off, "Then they would have killed as many as necessary to get to her. Her mom is one cold-hearted bitch. You know she set this whole thing up? It's sick. From what I gathered from Ryver, this was always her plan. Sick shit, man. Try to kill your own kid then have her beat and raped. Sick" He shuddered. "We need to get her family here. I am not sure that she doesn't have any other people out there and they need to be safe, plus Ryver could really use their support." I told him and He agreed, "I'll have Chris go grab them now." I could tell he was mind linking him.
