For those who don't feel like reading, the art is below.
So where do I start? Detective Conan is something I grew up watching. I remember back when I was in first grade; My older bro and I would run our way from school until we reach the gates of our home back in the middle east, Yemen. I know, you probably did not see that coming but I'm not ashamed to say it or in this case type it. But anyways, from there we would run into the living room to see our younger bro and a relative positioned in front of the TV, flipped up to the required channel and ready for the Anime to begin.
Digimon would be the start of the marathon of Anime episodes. Electricity is rather scarce in places like Yemen so we usually hope for the electricity to be on during such times (laughs). Things are starting to become better when It comes to electricity, they have a motor looking device now that activates the electricity in the house although it seems it might cause pollution. It's scorching hot there so most are now going for solar power.
Back to our original topic: I actually had no idea what anime and manga were until my first year of high school. There were two anime fans that introduced me to the fandom of hell. It's not that I've never seem anime, it's just new doors opened, you know? I was always going for anime I knew as a child and ignoring everything else. I was introduced to Naruto, bleach, One piece (although popular in Yemen, never heard of it), fairy tail and so on. So many doors are now opened, once in awhile, I would return to the things that I used to watch as a child. You know, things like: Remi nobody's girl/boy, Digimon, Pokemon, Romeo's blue skies, Belle and Sebastian, you get where I'm going.
One of the anime I've recently returned to and decided to finish every single episode and movie out there is obviously Detective Conan. I have enjoyed every bit of it. Episodes/specials/movies with the syndicate or the black organization are the best out there. My favorite acr would be "clash of red and black", Conan and the FBI are up against the ravens. It was incredible. Besides that, I have enjoyed the london arc not because of the whole "confession" as some people stated but because of the action involved.
I mean come on, Romantic stories have become way to common. That's my opinion and I'm sure you'll differ. Seeing scenes of the detectives, the FBI, CIA, and the National Police Agency Security Bureau chasing the ravens is far more interesting than some dramatic love story about a clingy girl (I'm sorry Ran fans, it's the only quality I find annoying about Ran but she's a good girl).
Have you seen "Detective Conan Movie 20: The darkest nightmare" trailer? If not, watch it! You'll understand where this fandom is coming from. I have already watched the darkest nightmare about four times and not regretting it. Also Detective Conan Movie 13 - The Raven Chaser. The fandom is too strong (laughs). All the movies have been incredible.
Because of DC, I actually started watching Sherlock Holmes. Detective Conan Movie 6 – The Phantom of Baker Street is a movie focused in London during Holme's time. In this movie Conan and his friends attend a computer game premiere. When the demonstration begins, Hiroki's artificial intelligence system, Noah's Ark takes control of the game system Cocoon. It tells the audience that if all fifty kids in the demonstration lose the game, it will kill the kids with a large electromagnetic burst. Sounds a lot like sword art online, right? This is a 2002 movie so it's a lot older and I have personally enjoyed it. One of the quotes in this movie goes: "Don't give up. Even without the helping characters, you are Holmes to us. There is that much ability within you. You're going to have to be our Holmes. There are no cases that Holmes can't solve, right?"
Well... I can keep writing but who would read it. It's more like ranting than actually writing about the anime. Besides, have you seen the crossover between Lupin the third and Conan? It was as incredible as everything else. I'm not expecting you to enjoy this writing or bother reading it but If you did, I hope you enjoyed it.

This is a sketch I started on the software Clip Studio paint although I never got around in finishing it. The sketch itself is a bit incomplete and Ran is there for no reason actually. Maybe for the extra emptiness.

Another sketch, this time on my Iphone 5 on an app called "Ibis paint". I know, my iphone art is cleaner. This has a more detective Conan feeling to it.

And again, another art on Clip Studio. I actually drew Shinichi too but, I'd have to open my other computer for that. If you'd like the outline for coloring practice, don't be afraid to ask. You can probably tell who my favorite character is by now. I actually don't like the way I colored her but at least there is something somewhat complete on this page. I personally prefer the way this looked in base colors. Like this one below:

This is the software Clip Studio for those who don't know and as you can see, there is a glimpse of Shinichi on her left. This looks better than the fully colored one, doesn't it?
