Lisa woke drenched in her own sweat. her head still hurt and she tried to blink away the sleepiness. she looked around the unfamiliar room in which she lay, she sat up grabbing her head and wincing. the room was much bigger than the one at Stephan's and it made her wonder where she was.

like a punch in the face it all came back, her mother had tried to kill her! she tried to get up but fell into someone's arms, it was clear he was a guy by the shirt and the muscles she felt. he helped her up, she was breathing deeply as if such a small movement as very difficult.

"It is alright, do you want to go back to bed?" he said gently

for a moment it sounded like Cinaed's kind voice that she wanted to hear. she wanted him to help her she wanted him here in this very moment. she looked up to see the face of the boy she disliked most. his dark black hair swept a little over his eyes, his eyes, she had never noticed were deep forest green. she was about to say something but her knees gave in, he put his arm around her and picked her up from the floor carrying her to the bed.

he pulled the covers over her and she watched him silently. he gave a small smile that warmed her heart.

"you are not Cinaed." she mumbled.

"Yes, i am not. who is he?" he asked pulling a chair over to her.

"A dear friend, he has caused me a lot of heartache." she said sadly.

"Yes? i am sorry for you." he said softly.

"Yes, what is your name?" she asked before going in to a fit of coughs.

"you need your rest, the doctor said you may be getting a cold." He said standing looking worried "But it is Tristan, Marus."

"Lisa, my name is Lisa." she said making him stop in his tracks, he turned and smiled to her.

"Welcome Lisa, now rest." he said turning back around.

"Tristan," she called softly.

he turned and nodded in reply. "Yes?"

"Can you stay with me, at least till i fall asleep? i fear that my mother might try and kill me again." she said, fighting to keep her eyes open.

he gave her another warm smile before he nodded and sat back down in the chair next to her. she nodded and let her eyes close. sleep seemed so good right now, so peaceful, she dozed off in seconds.

hours later she woke up again, and looked around her room spotting Tristan asleep where she had seen him last. she didn't know how long she had been asleep but it didn't seem to matter. the door clicked and slowly opened. Lisa looked over to see Eileen's dark silky hair at the door closing it again.

Lisa had always been jealous of her friend, she was so much more beautiful and kind. Eileen walked to a seat and Lisa watched her, careful to not make a sound. she sat down by the window and peered out. Lisa wanted to say something, to call her friend's attention but no words came.

after a few minuted Eileen sighed and walked out of the room, Lisa watched the spot where she had been sitting in.

"Oh, your awake!" Tristan said sleepily.

she looked over to him and he grinned whipping his eyes.

"How long have i been asleep?" she asked softly.

"About three hours today, but in total two days." he said yawning.

she nodded and sat up, pulling off the covers to try and stand. Tristan was at her side, pushing her gently back down. she opened her mouth to protest but he only shushed her.
