Nicholas' P.O.V
"Are you understanding anything really?" I asked her for the a thousandth time. She was so bad at concentrating and very little things distracted her.
We were now seated at my study table which was in my room. Her books and pencils were untidily placed on my table which didn't bother me at the moment. I could tell by the look on her face that she was lost in wonderland again.
"I understand everything you are saying but I think we should take a break." She finally answered after returning back to Earth.
"This is the fourth time we've gone for a break in just one hour. Are you always thinking about food and rest or what?" I snapped at her being irritated by her lack of concentration.
Her brownish eyes watered and a single tear dropped before she wiped it off quickly and started packing her books at a super-sonic speed. I was too mesmerized and lost in thought that I didn't realize she was already gone.
"Shit." I cursed out loudly. I really didn't know why I snapped at her.
Lynn's P.O.V
"I know I can be annoying but I don't understand why someone would snap at me for something I didn't force them to do. I mean I didn't ask for the tutoring in the first place so why am I forced to concentrate and who said I wasn't listening." I said to myself as I jogged my way home.
His house was just a walking distance from ours making it more ideal than studying in the library as initially planned. I thought it would also be more fun since we would be alternating from one house to another. I guess other people are just born difficult.
Instead of taking the usual route home, I decided to stop at the new coffee house that was a little bit far from our house. Maybe coffee would do a great deal in calming my nerves. As I stepped into the room, a pleasing and relaxing aroma hit my nostrils and I was now convinced that coffee would do the trick.
After placing my order of black coffee with doughnuts, I decided to have a seat at the corner next to the window. I took out my calculus books and tried out the new formulas Nicholas had taught me. So far I was getting them right and I was sure I would understand the rest without his help.
"At least I can see I wasn't wasting my time." A voice which I had mastered from the first time I heard it spoke. Without looking up at him, I started packing my books ready to leave. Even if it meant wasting a few dollars just so I could avoid him, then so be it. Before I could finish packing, he placed his hand on mine and I immediately looked up at him.
"Am not really good at apologizing since I have never done it before. I never regret things I have done but for a fact I do regret for snapping at you and I am really sorry." He said looking really apologetic considering he was a bully.
"Well for first time apology, you really tried and its okay with me. Just try to be a little polite to your student and remember we are not the same. I might look lost but actually I am listening and when I say we need a break, I don't necessarily mean we should eat. It rather helps me digest everything I was listening and maybe give me time to put it into practice." I voiced out my thoughts in the best way I could.
"Thanks for the tip." He said and left as silent and unexpected as he came. I bet he was going to do some research on something like most nerds do on their free time. My snack came shortly afterwards and I drowned it quickly before heading home.
Today was not so bad after all.
