Hello and happy new year awesome guys. I don't have much to say other than thank you for making this book a huge success. Hope you enjoy this chapter.
Nicholas' P.O.V
I thought that maybe by avoiding Lynn my little crush will be crushed but I guess she had her way of making me amused every time. Like yesterday for instance. I thought football was a boys' thing but she proved me wrong. In fact I think she is better than most of the boys in the team.
Anyways, I realized I couldn't get rid of her by ignoring her. She was almost becoming an addiction. I realized that my evening yesterday wasn't as fun as it usually was when she was around.
I sighed heavily as I kicked the blankets away from my body. I was among the very few people who loved mornings. There were some birds which always chirped outside my window melodiously that made me love mornings the more. I headed to the small gym which was in the basement. We had few equipment like: a treadmill , an exercise bike and some other machinery.
I wasn't planning to do a long work-out session. Half an hour was enough to stretch my muscles before I could start planning for my weekend. After doing some sit ups, push ups, planks and spending a few minutes on the tread mill, I was done. I returned back to my room and had a cold shower.
Since I didn't have a fixed schedule, I decided to do things a little slower. After getting out of the shower where I had washed my hair too, I oiled my body and looked for a pair of comfortable clothes. Sweat pants and any random T-shirt were my best choice of relaxing clothes and I quickly put on the pair before heading downstairs for breakfast.
My sister being around, I didn't have to worry about making breakfast. Unlike me, she loved cooking. I went directly to the kitchen and I was greeted by a sweet aroma of freshly baked vanilla cake. I greeted her without even sparing her a glance and went directly to the cake. Like always, I took a cup of hot chocolate and the breakfast session was over.
"I am going for shopping so if you are planning to leave, call me." My sister informed me minutes later after I was done with the dishes. She always looked out for me like I was a toddler or something of the sort. I understood her though because she was left with that responsibility anyway. I nodded my head at her and watched her as she left.
As I sat on the sofa reading a book (like most nerds during their free time) I heard my phone vibrate. I mentally decided that I would ignore but my body did the opposite. I looked at the screen and was surprised to see that Lynn had texted me.
"Could you accompany me to the football practise???*puppy dog eyes*" I laughed lightly at her childish behaviour.
"How long is it?"
"About an hour." An hour wasn't that long and so I accepted. Even if she said the whole day I would still agree. I quickly went to my room and gelled my now dry and dishevelled hair before taking my sweater and my spare house keys. Just like I promised, I texted my sister that I was going.
I decided that I would ride my bike today. I missed my bad boy side so bad but I didn't want to show Lynn that side plus I couldn't even if I wanted to. In my school we have the ten messes expel punishment. This meant that if I messed up ten times I would be expelled. I have done way past ten times and the last mistake I would do would get me out of school and town too. Not wanting to loose Lynn, make my sis move and other inconveniences meant I have to behave.
Riding my bike though didn't mean I was a bad boy or did it?? Certainly not. I sped up my way to Lynn's house which was very wrong and riding the bike without a helmet made matters worse but what's life without a little misbehaviour.
I parked outside Lynn's house and took out my phone to inform her that I was already there. On second thought though, I decided to just enter her house and greet her parents or whoever was in.
"Hello." I said to Lynn's mum who had opened the door. My voice sounded awfully sweeter than I intended it to.
"You must be Nicholas. Lynn talks about you all the time....." I didn't hear what else she had to say. The thought that Lynn talks about me was enough to take me to a world of my own.
"-I wonder why she didn't tell me that she was going for a date." She said while shrugging her shoulders that were covered in a light pink long sleeve sweater. That statement brought me back to earth from wherever I had gone. A date?? Before I could even utter a word, Lynn came.
"Mum!! This is no date. We are just going somewhere that's all. Bye." She hugged her mum quickly and closed the door behind her. Her cheeks had turned crimson from blushing which made her look cuter than she already was.
"Sorry for that. My mum is just...." She paused for a while probably thinking what word would fit in. I took that as an opportunity to check her outfit. She was in grey sweatpants just like me and a black Nike crop top. It was a simple look but she pulled it off real good." my mum." She finished her statement.
"I hope you don't mind riding a bike cause I came with mine." I said pointing at my blue motorbike that I had parked outside Lynn's gate. She smiled most likely liking the idea.
"At least I can cross that off my bucket list." She said enthusiasm dripping out of her every word. Deciding to make it more fun, I let her sit at the front and hopped at the back with her permission of course. I put my hands on hers as she held the handles. She roared the engine and just like me she didn't wear a helmet.
This weekend couldn't get any better.
