I sighed, opening my eyes before stretching, Nathaniel sleepily draping his arm around my waist.
It had been almost a year since Nathaniel and I had said that we loved each other. He had basically moved into my apartment by being here almost everyday and sleeping here every weekend. Half of my cupboard was filled with his clothes.
I looked up at him sleeping with a smile on my face before flipping myself around so that I could hover over him.
"Wake up, birthday boy," I whispered before kissing him.
His nose twitched and he groaned.
"Come on," I laughed.
"Ugh," he groaned again before gently pushing me off of him and rolling around.
"For a newly thirty year old man, you're very immature," I huffed.
"I should be allowed to sleep in," he mumbled.
I laughed again before jumping out of bed and putting an oversized shirt over my bare body. I ripped open the curtains and Nathaniel shoved a pillow over his head.
"You better be ready soon because I made reservations at that fancy breakfast café that you like so much," I said.
He lazily removed the pillow from his face and looked at me.
"Fine," he smiled. "I'll be up just now."
"If you get up right now you can join me in the shower," I smirked before walking out of my bedroom and towards the bathroom, swinging my hips in the process.
I heard him stumble out of bed and soon he was behind me. He slapped my butt before walking into the bathroom ahead of me. I laughed and shook my head.
He switched the shower on and helped me remove his shirt that I had on. He kissed my neck as he helped me under the stream of water.
I moaned softly, turning my neck to give him better access.
"What a lovely birthday present," he murmured as his fingers traced lower.***
"We have an hour to get ready and then we have to be at my hotel," Nathaniel called from the kitchen.
I looked away from the TV.
"Who's all going to be there?" I asked as I watched him drink water.
"My family obviously," he put the glass down. "Work colleagues. Uhm, I don't really know."
I groaned as I lifted myself off of the sofa, switching the TV off.
"I don't have to look fancy as fuck, right?" I asked as I walked into my bedroom.
"Foul mouth," Nathaniel laughed, following me. "You don't need to look fancy as fuck, no, but at least try look decent."
I narrowed my eyes at him as I laughed sarcastically. He chuckled and removed his t-shirt.
"For an old man, you're ripped," I wiggled my eyebrows at him.
"You do realize you're only two years younger?" He said. "And you're starting to get a bit saggy."
To prove his point, he cupped his hands under my butt and jiggled it.
"It's not saggy," I smacked at his hands. "Your eyesight is saggy because you're so old."
He laughed and shook his head before walking into my cupboard.
My outfit already hung by my dressing table. I didn't care if I had to look fancy or not, the dress basically begged me to buy it.
It was a simple body-hugging black dress with a flared out skirt that ended above my knees. It had a sweetheart neckline and lace covered the chest as well as the rest of the dress.I removed the straps of my bra before sliding the dress onto myself. I then paired it with platformed dusty pink ankle boots that laced all the way up. They easily gave me five or six extra inches.
